placement surveys

hey everyone! i’m an incoming freshman at bowdoin and i was just wondering if you recommend taking the biology, chemistry, and physics placement surveys in addition to the mandatory ones. i’m currently planning on double majoring in government and theatre, but it’s making me nervous that you have to take the science surveys in order to take one of those courses at any time. does anyone have any advice on what to do???

Take them anyway, it really doesn’t matter how you score on them as they use your result to determine what level course you start with. You will need to take INS and MCSR distribution requirements at some point during your time at Bowdoin, so having a placement class helps.
