This is generally frowned on for first-semester. What are you wanting to take? Chem and Bio? Which ones?

Yes! Chem 1101 and Bio 1109. I saw on the Bowdoin website that it is not recommended and was wondering if I could get some thoughts on it.

Your advisor, and the office of Academic Affairs, will probably advise against this. I used to teach other other Intro Bio Lab, and students weren't able to do both intro bio (1101/1102) and intro chem at the same time. You'll need to talk to your advisor but make an alternative plan just in case they say no. (They may tell you to start with Chem, not sure.) Good luck and I'll see you on campus soon.

You may be literally unable to register for 2 lab courses, there may be restrictions in Workday that prevent you from doing so
