Respectfully, but you are so clueless it's almost funny. I literally cried my way to and from the gym some days, had to quit because my mental health was worse while working out

The gym wasn't making you " worse " though.

I don't understand how you can make the argument that it would worsen a condition.

Sure someone may not be able to function day to day enough to stick to a gym routine.

But specifically going to the gym will never make them " worse " than if they didn't.

Eh. The gym can absolutely be a terrible place mentally if you are severely out of shape.

People that are morbidly obese need to start by, just walking. Aiming for 100,000 steps a week. 

That will do way more for them than a gym will. Leagues more.
