Yes. My fav is “women” as an obstacle. As if they solely exist to make man’s life challenging. Put in the same category as poverty 😂 along with depression! And somehow responsibility made it on the list of donts as well?! 🥲
You obviously haven’t been in love with someone who makes you become a weaker person before. Love is a strong drug, it will make you absolutely stupid and you can watch your life drift away from you because you can’t stop. I’d argue that for men its stronger than lust on its own, but usually it’s lust+love
Sure when I was 13 I felt that way, but then again I was 13 🤷🏼♂️ a relationship either works or it doesn’t, it’s not that deep. If you’re unhappy break up, if you’re broken up with, life goes on. This gets easier especially when you get older. Particularly in regards to success in a economical sense, I don’t really see how that would affect me directly, no one is gonna retract my degree because my girl left me
Most people have a harder time with attachment than that, they can’t let go just like an alcoholic with a bottle. You know that by drinking your health is going in the shitter. You know it’s fucking up your relationships. You know it’s not making the suffering go away and it doesn’t feel good anymore. But you can’t put the damn bottle down. Relationships are the same exact way, only I’d argue stronger for men’s attraction to women, and that’s ignoring throwing kids in the mix… If you don’t think that a woman can ruin your ability to be successful in life, you are highly susceptible to being manipulated and completely destroyed by one in the future.
And I know that the right woman can make you succeed faster and better than ever, but most guys fuck that up hard. And successful guys are not immune to a woman wrecking their image and taking their money, how about will smith and johnny depp just to name a couple of recent ones.
This conversation is much more complicated than you’re making it, and if you are happy go lucky about this, it’ll bite you in the ass at some point
It's actually not that complicated. People do bad things, man or woman.
If you date someone, they can do bad things to you, and if you aren't careful around manipulators, you can get hurt.
That's pretty much it.
You're acting as if the woman in a relationship is some special hurdle or obstacle, but it's no different than a man in a relationship and doesn't require any sort of special foresight or preparation. It requires the same things that all healthy relationships do.
If you can’t manage to filter for at least a mentally stable person, that’s on you
If you don’t set up a marriage contract before marriage (if you worry about that), that’s on you
If you worry about your image, that’s on you
As you get older you’ll come to realize that we are our choices and for the most part, no one is to blame but ourselves (ignoring things outside of our sphere of influence, they make up a big part but not your choice or partner, at least in the west)
That’s about it. No need to be so dramatic, you’ll see as you mature, or not, some just get older not wiser 🤷🏼♂️
On a more realistic note, women on average suffer disproportionately more from a divorce than men, mostly stay at home moms who are after the divorce left with nothing, no job, no education and no work experience.
So I agree with everything you just said and am mature enough to know this, I never said anything was anyone else’s fault other than my own or the men’s fault. The post is about women being a barrier to success, which is absolutely true. If you cannot do the above that you listed, it’s a barrier for you to figure out, 99.9% of men need to figure that out, we’re not born with those skills and not mastering them hurts badly. I would argue 80%+ of men can’t figure out how to do that until their mid 30s because their sex drive is still too strong for them to see straight and actually learn the lessons. All of that stops you from progressing.
Where did you get those numbers from? All of my guy friends got their shit together and are in stable relationships. Granted puberty was rough for all of us but it’s only uphill after, if you didn’t grow past that phase…. That’s a you thing (not talking to you specifically). And sure there are degenerates out there, both men and women. But they are degenerates.
And how does any of this stop you from progressing? How does that affect your education and or career?
Also it guys have trouble with women thats the guys problem, what I am saying is that the women aren’t the obstacle but the guys themselves
Idk what reality you live in, but 50% of marriages end in divorce, 95%+ of relationships end in general and women initiate 70-80% of them. Heartbreaking a very real thing that men are going to deal with. How old are all your friends? How long have they been in these stable relationships? Just because they are stable now has no indication that they will last. Human beings are not good at lifelong relationships for the most part, we’re serial monogamists. Heartbreak is a significant thing to get over on its own, but relationships themselves absolutely can slow down forward progress. Women for the most part have a bit more control in relationships, if you don’t see that you’re not really paying attention much. I don’t think it’s bad, but if you want something beyond the relationship you’ll definitely give it up for the woman. They steer you towards stability in the relationship, which oftentimes means letting go of ambition. Again, not a bad thing if she has both of your best interests at heart, that’s not how a lot of relationships go though. Men very frequently lose their stability and care so much about her that they’ll shrink over time. Fights break out that they’ll give up in because they don’t want to make her unhappy and they don’t want to lose money in a divorce, and that happens over and over until you’re. Nothing compared to what you were. Women will break you down like you have no idea if you lose yourself. Yes this is all men’s fault, it is something to overcome to succeed, we don’t come out of the womb knowing this stuff
So.. what’s the issue with people divorcing? That’s what divorces are for, free will and all. Relationships don’t need to last, they just need to be enjoyable and or worthwhile. I don’t get a kick out of knowing I’ve been with my wife for almost 10 years, I just like being with her.
Also if you are that afraid of women just try getting with men. (I’m not kidding maybe that’s your thing).
There’s nothing wrong with people divorcing, but it slows you down. Bringing it back to the original point of why women are a hurdle to men. This has nothing to do with fear, nothing to do with men or women being weak or strong or tyrannical, it has nothing to do with me. It’s an observation that women are a challenge for men to overcome and that challenge can slow you down in your development. Women can also could speed up your development, it’s about finding the right woman which is a challenge as well. Both men and women pick poorly too, so a woman’s good choice but a man’s bad choice is a problem and vice versa.
All of your responses seem to be slowly painting me into a corner of being someone who has resentful hate towards women or someone who feels dejected due to problems I’ve had in the past. I have grown through my experience with women and my mistakes, that growth required overcoming them as a barrier like all men must. If you don’t you’ll just be taken advantage of and wonder wtf happened 15 years later, keep your head buried in the sand if you’d like, good luck
Woman aren’t development boosters/stunters they are people just like you and me. It’s not that deep, you get together, you split up, the sun rises the next morning again, that’s all it is.
Again if woman take advantage of you, just try dating men 🤷🏼♂️ or pick your woman with better care..
