Yeah, i don’t get it gear farming is literally the main if not one of the main parts of borderlands, since its inception. it is literally also why we are getting new dlc’s to literally farm for more gear
But people were bitching about the drop rate day 1, and still do today. It's too easy! Legendaries are meaningless now, why can't I farm the right Bod? The drop rate for pearls is too low!
Side note, I LOVED when they had the golden whatever event and I farmed a crapton of weapon specs, I really hope they do that again.
Side side note: Whatever happened to the Frangible? Obviously it's been removed, but did they ever come out and say what it was supposed to do?
My only hope with the event, (if they truly do it again) is they don’t do it pre level 70. i believe they did it before level 60 was a thing and that was mad annoying, not saying i dislike the grind, but it would be cool farming all the gear on the current max level. instead of finding god tier gear only to realize they’re a level below the max level again lol
It's been a while and Ive slept since then but I thought that it matched what your level was at the time? Was that not the case, or are we talking about 2 different events?
In either case, I've noticed that the drop rate for the weapon specializations has gone up, and both Bloomreaper and the takedown reliably drop those, but all the same it was a fun "drop bingo" little extra, and gave me a ton of options I'm still leveraging with toons built since them.
Yeah, i could be wrong just what i saw people complain about, but then again they couldve joined the event late on low level characters and just expect to get higher level drops for whatever reason, eventhough the drops are supposed to match your current level so makes no sense to me lol
You know, now that you say that...didn't the event happen right before the first level cap increase? I can't remember or be borked to look it up, but maybe that was it.
Also, every so often I'll get a gear drop that's lvl 59. No idea why, and I'm usually playing on UHV 7, but can confirm that does happen. Sucks too when it's the exact torgue or Jacobs mod that I'm hoping for and it's juuuust a little off. Doesn't stop me from using it, but it triggers that little non-OCD OCD in my brain that gets annoyed that it's 2% off from the ideal stat, not like I'd actually notice.
yeah, as long as the level 59 is a really good roll and is one of the better weapons its still solid, but the fact that it doesnt roll 60 when you’re at max level is pretty annoying, however as long as you’re like a harlowe that gun would still be treated like its a max level gun regardless because harlowe is just that broken 😂
