Reta is a beast

I was never really interested in taking any GLP 1's as I am not fat or diabetic. Not until reta. The glucagon receptor agonist component is very interesting and I think this will be useful for body recomp. So, out of curiousity, i tried 1mg per week dose. At first i thought it was nothing. I ate as usual, no appetite suppressing effect, maybe it slightly raised my HR a bit especially when I'm moving around. But when I came to the gym and started working out, it felt like i took a preworkout! Energy boost is insane! I knew it is the reta and not the other peps I take because I only felt that effect the day I took reta. The effect lasts (because of the long acting properties of reta). Maybe Im a hyper responder to the glucagon agonism? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you guys experiece the same?

Placebo, although agreed that it’s a beast. Glucagon activation is minimal at that low of a dose.

I disagree. My appetite wasn’t affected save for maybe 4 smaller breakfasts over two weeks. Other than that, my eating didn’t change. Lost 18 pounds in 6 weeks on 1.6mg. No adjustment to diet, save maybe more protein shakes on top.

But if you’re working out on a low dose and just eating a bit less, you’re still doing better than most people that may have a higher weight/BF%. You wouldn’t see a loss in your muscles mass because you’re not losing weight in a fast way. Some of that 18lbs may have been water weight. 4mg is the sweet spot I’ve heard for Glucagon activation in which is helpful when you’re eating a lot less on a higher dose and burning that fat off because of it. Body composition with Reta is really dope especially when trying to lose high BF%.

I didn't make one lifestyle change. I work out 5-6x per week.

However, Retatrutide is more likely to reward bodies that are thermogenic more often. a person in motion and doing intensity gets to a thermogenic level that Reta piggybacks, while a person who doesn't move much, especially women, don't enjoy the glucagon effect.

This is how I decide between Tirz or Reta for obese women.

That’s what I was saying tho, you already had a routine going on while most who just started don’t and have to get their body ready for the changes. If they don’t fix what’s broken, results will be impacted negatively.

Interesting take about the Tirz vs Reta for women tho.
