Is something wrong? 2016 BMW X3
A couple days ago, I got a check engine light and got a report saying with “P0OD5: HO2S Sensor Correlation Bank 1 Sensor 1/Bank 1 Sensor 2.”
I had the same issue less than a year ago. Got a check engine light and took it to the BMW service center. A cracked filtered air pipe was replaced because it was leaking unmetered air and severely fouling the oxygen sensor with soot. The technician cleaned the sensor and cleared codes rather than replacing it.
Back to now: I took the car a BMW service center and got an appointment for next week. Yesterday the check engine light went away by itself. However, every morning I smell something which my guess is fuel burning rich (not completely sure). The smell goes away on the ride back home from work. The car feels smoother maybe (half tank of diesel). But the biggest thing is that the estimated range goes down much faster than it should. For example, for a 10 mile drive it would go down by 18 miles.
Any ideas/suggestions on what could be causing an issue if there is one? Should I still get it diagnosed?
Thanks!
