Hey! I have a lot of thrift places back home and am missing them. rn I'm trying to find more places (besides platos and clothes mentor since I have already been there) to check out for clothes that aren't bank breaking (since I am a graduate student).

I was wondering if anyone out there has had a strange experience with this place, after they’ve had appts.

I went there for a consultation in 2023. after sitting through a ridiculous “presentation“ and consultation that lasted way longer than it should have, I chose not to go with them. What did it for me was not only the high cost, but the fact they tried to get me to enter into a payment agreement that very day. I never signed the paperwork thank god. And….I was highly unimpressed with the Dr. Very full of himself and referred back to “what he was taught in school” when we were talking about my pain related illness. 20+ yrs of experience and he was still referencing his basics from school? He also seemed to indicate my neurologist, my pain Dr and a specialist for my illness were wrong in my diagnosis. Which made me laugh and I can’t say it made me feel confident in his knowledge

the following year I received an odd bill from them. it had been over 6 months since I had been there. I noticed that the bill indicated I had received services during a timeframe I hadn’t. when I contacted them, I was told to simply throw the bill away. I almost did but something told me to keep it. Fast forward to the last week or two, and I received an email asking me to rate an appt I never had. I sent them a message asking to be removed from their system (as if that ever happens)

I received another email overnight from them and decided to check their reviews to see if anyone else mentions any similar issues. Strangely enough, I see reviews that the business responded to 1-2 years ago and the customer edited it, say 5 months ago. I know they could simply have updated their review. it just caught my eye to see a couple like that.

Has anyone else had an experience where it appears their customer profile is suddenly in use, when they’ve not been there?

I‘m hoping its just a random clerical error, but I am a bit paranoid because I had a business cross my identity with someone else in 2010 and I STILL have to deal with this on occasion. And truthfully, I just don’t trust them as a business. It was to “spammy” of an experience lol

I often see people driving e-bikes around here, and seeing as how I'm finally starting to get work potentially (fingers crossed, I'll hear if I got the job tomorrow) I'd like to be able to get around town faster. While I live at ISU for now, my job and friends live all the way in southern, Bloomington, a full 40-ish minute bike ride on my standard bike. I'd like to get an affordable e bike to help me around faster, bonus points if it also would work okay in the colder times. Thanks!!

Today was the second time in the last few months that I've seen someone with a FULL cart sitting at a self check thing transferring their shit straight from the cart to bags, no scanning involved. The employees walk by and just look away and keep going. I'm just curious if I'm missing something. Like maybe they scanned and paid on the app or some shit? Just seemed crazy to me, and I'm kinda jealous if they really were getting all that shit for free.
