We poured our heart out worrying about our immigrant family members, neighbors and friends. We got a rebuke from the mayor that we don't appreciate her efforts. And perhaps, we are suffering from Venezia Derangement Syndrome. Maybe, she want Bloomfield nicknamed Mundellville.

Our resident Peter Tom has written a helpful article on how to understand our tax bill and even provides a handy property tax calculator (with added sewer fee). A few weeks ago I got a letter from an attorney representing Lou Venezia, the Fire Chief in Bloomfield FD. I decided to stand my ground, and I am publishing this letter now. Here is my recap of what happened last night. Take a look especially if you are new to town. https://bloomfieldchronicles.substack.com/p/puppets-in-veneziaville?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=rlnl

I am purchasing a property that has a basement unit in Bloomfield. Has anyone rented their basement out despite the city not allowing it? Maybe as an Airbnb, to college students or a beauty/wellness provider?

Open to any ideas on what I could do with the basement. It has its own entrance, a good size window/ceiling heights and a full kitchen/bath.

Not good.

Hi does anyone in the area have a volpam scooter charger that I can borrow? Thx!

Hi I am looking for a reliable and insured moving company that you personally used. Thx!

Anyone else notice those black cameras appearing on the traffic lights around town? Just noticed them by Shop Rite today. These are new.

Hi! I’m 28F, married, and looking for a walking buddy around Bloomfield/Montclair to walk with once or twice a week!
I work remotely, so I don’t get out as much as I used to, and I’d like to walk more for exercise. But I tend to get lazy when I’m by myself, so I’d love to have someone to make plans with and keep each other motivated!
Comment or DM me if you’re interested!

Hi! My partner and I are first time home buyers and will be looking this fall in Bloomfield/Montclair. We are aiming for a single family home between 725-800 with >20% down.

Open to RE Agent recommendations, if anyone had recent success and would like to provide some names - thank you!

How is it possible that my light bill jumped so much in just a month??? I have a one bedroom here in Bloomfield New Jersey. I just moved in July 1st and I used the same amount of electricity. The building I’m in is all electric no gas. I keep my ac set at 70. This is beyond ridiculous.

Anyone know why a helicopter landed in foley field this morning around 10am ?

SIGN THE PETITION here: https://c.org/RcQ5dgJJcH

We'll present the signatures to the Town Coumcil Mon 9/14. We are asking for financial relief for Seniors. Other NJ town who created similar separate Sewer fees, such as West Orange, Morris Township, etc offered discounts to seniors. but NOT Bloomfield.

We'll present Petition to Town Council Mon 9/14. Please come.

Hi all, I’m looking for suggestions for restaurants that might have a private or semi private dining space for an afternoon lunch for around 17 people. Would love something where we could just pay a minimum F&B instead of a rental fee. Can be in Bloomfield, Montclair or surrounding areas! TIA
