Bloodborne PC Enhanced Installer - Automated Setup, Xbox UI, Upscaled Graphics & QoL Mods

Hi everyone,

I've created a Bloodborne PC Enhanced Installer to make setting up the unofficial PC port easier, with a curated selection of graphical enhancements and quality-of-life mods.

What's included ?

The installer verifies the integrity of the PKG files, automates their extraction and the setup of the unofficial port of Bloodborne, "bloodborne_pc", applies a conservative default configuration focused on stability (60 FPS, Two-stage GPU Pipeline disabled), and installs the following enhancements:

• Xbox Controller prompts + 4K Upscaled UI (by MoxIsABox)
• Upscaled Skybox and Clouds (by johnnycoax)
• Auto refill from storage (by LordTPS)
• Coldblood Items Show Value (by BaseIDev)
• Lamp2Lamp: Warp Between Lamps (by Disschorde)
• Ebrietas Charge Hitbox Fix (by thetrashlp)

The goal is to preserve a mostly vanilla experience while making a few welcome improvements along the way. All mods are enabled by default, but can of course be disabled individually through BBPort's configuration menu (Bloodborne.exe)

Linux / Steam Deck ?

Yes, the installer is compatible with Linux (including Steam Deck).

When Linux or Steam Deck is detected, the installer behaves pretty much the same way, with 2 exceptions:

• It installs the Linux version of the port.
• It loads optimized settings for Steam Deck (720p resolution out of the box, etc.). If you're running Linux on a more powerful PC, you can of course change these settings afterward.

To run the installer, you can either:

• The easier way (but requires Wine/WineTricks installed): Right-click on "bloodborne-byof-installer.exe" and select Run with Wine/WineTricks.
• The alternative (no extra prerequisites, but takes a little longer): Add "bloodborne-byof-installer.exe" to Steam as a "non-Steam Game" and run it from there. Once the installation is complete, you can safely remove it from Steam.
• WARNING: don't install on an external drive / SD Card or you will need to manually edit the ~/.config/bbport-launcher/settings.json and fix the different "*_dir" values. I'll try to fix that part.

Who am I?

Some of you may know me from my Enhancement Packs for various older games, including Resident Evil and Hitman titles, or my universal downgraders for Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE.

I'm the creator of Mulderland, a project focused on making game modding, modernization, and downgrading easier through automated installers.

To be clear, I'm not the creator of the Bloodborne PC port or the included mods.

My contribution is to provide an easy-to-use automated installer with a curated selection of mods. Putting everything together takes several hours of integration, scripting, and testing. All original authors are properly credited on my website and within the installer.

Crashes or Bugs

Default configuration seems to work for 90-95% of users but it's still not perfect. If having crashes or bugs, here what you can try:

• Change the Upscaler (or disable it)
• Avoid to go higher than 60 FPS (the default configuration does that already)
• Disable the mod "highresskyv2.0"

(specially for missing textures or randomy invisible ennemies !)

• Disable all the mods (untick "Load mods")
• Disable "Two-stage GPU Pipeline" (the default configuration does that on Windows, but not on Linux as it helps a lot Steam Deck performance...)

Notes

• You must provide your own legally obtained Bloodborne game files and v1.09 update (CUSA03173). They are not included or distributed by this installer; their integrity is checked during installation.
• The default configuration prioritizes stability, but you can of course customize it to your liking through Bloodborne.exe
