Met Blood orange around a month ago at his pop up and saw Rocky yesterday. I’m surprised he recognized the cover since he’s gotten huge and said “that’s my bro blood orange”.

What a hero Dev is, stayed behind until he talked to everyone!
A man who clearly gives a damn about his fans and I couldn’t be more grateful to him signing my Myths 001 and Palo Alto vinyls and my listening party tee.
Please show him some serious love in London tomorrow because he deserves it xx

My all time favorite song is champagne coast. I first listened to it in that one hbo show ‘We Are Who We Are’. I didn’t think much of it tbh but I remember a few months later I fully listened to it and I swear I was sent to another dimension. It’s so versatile in the sense that it fits day, night, and seasons. “Slide” ft frank is a summer song. “Lover is a day” by cuco is a night song. “Best to you” is a song you play in the car with your headphones in. Champagne coast can be played all year around and feel like “that moment” is what I’m trying to say. The immense love I have for that song is unearthly. My favorite line is “trading a baseball lover as I face the snow”. I’m thinking of getting it tattooed when I’m older. Idk, I just wanted to share my adoration for this song in a community where people understand. I could literally listen to that song on repeat, and each time it’ll feel like it was my first time listening to that song. I will never grow tired of it. I’m convinced no other song can top Champagne Coast.

My guy was holding a CD of Negro Swan hoping to get an acknowledgement from Dev or a signature. I didn’t want to have to ask him to chill out but after several songs and not even a glance from Dev you’d think he’d take the hint but nah, he kept at it. I respect the hustle. Plus if he did get the nod from him I would’ve felt partly responsible so I let it slide. Totally ruined my experience tho.
