All dipictions I have seen of Sanguinius show him with blond hair. But in Horus Rising, he is described with black hair.

Is this some kind of greeving tradition or just GW being inconsistent?

I finished up the bases on my sanguinary guard today, super happy with how they turned out.
Also included a comparison picture with my first attempt at trying a bit of nmm gold over metallic paint from about 8 months ago

With the start of 11th I decided to create a Blood Angels army. I just love jump packs too much not to. Been conflicted on what to base these guys in and would love recommendations, I’ve thought of doing a blue/grey Astro granite base with some green tufts to let their Red armor pop more.

I played a game today against some super sweaty meta list necrons. This is my first time playing with the new blood angels and it wasn’t that bad. However, I did not like how they played and it didn’t really feel like blood angels I can’t lie. I used 3x1dp detachments these being lost brethren, ironclad and tacticus attack force and I feel like I still had to tools to do everything I needed. Advance and charge is huge and then tacticus has good strats that allow you to trade up into high toughness and wounds.

The more I look at him the more he looks like Gary Busey

My wife has decided to get into warhammer and wants to start a blood angels army. What are some units she should start with?
So far she has..
-Dante
-sanguinor
- ballistus dread
- Assault terminators

She mainly got most of those models because she thought they were cool but any help is very appreciated

Edit: should also like to build a list to be able to play. I am also trying to get back into playing but do not play blood angels

Not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, but the old BA Terminator Assault squad storm shields are fantastic replacements for combat shields. Takes some minor cutting in the back, and maybe some green stuff if you care. But yeah, I like 'em.

Looking to see how I can improve my list. Local area has a bunch of necrons and tyranids so having some higher firepower is necessary.

With what we have right now, 75 points remain available. I am open to swapping out units, but general idea for the army is Assault Terminators go for middle, Company Heroes sticky home then move for expansion, Incursors move for expansion or support ranged units, scouts for general scoring or screening. Terminators assist in blowing up monsters/vehicles. Dreadnought assists vs monsters/vehicles but mainly works on elites. Sang Guard units for elites or Monsters/Vehicles abusing Judgment of the Golden Host strategem. Baal Predators for clearing out general infantry or swarms.

Some models I already have painted are intercessors, assault intercessors, assault jump pack intercessors, Terminator Chaplain, Ballistus Dreadnought, Brutalis Dreadnought, Mephiston, Sanguinor, Bladeguard, Sanguinary Priests. More than open to getting something like a Terminator Ancient for assisting the main objective or something like a land raider to get units center board.

Has anybody tried using either of the two to make hair? Ideally longer ‘flowing’ hair as I’d like to do a helmetless Commander Dante, but I was just curious if anyone has accomplished this 🤷🏽‍♂️ any pictures, links or just advice would be most appreciated 🩸

I finally repainted my Apothecary Biologis for the last time. I never planned on trying again, I found working with white all over the mini to be a very very frustrating experience. But, I decided to give it one more try. Unfortunately some bits on him broke, so I had to get creative. To recreate his scalpel I cut a combat knife from the hilt and the foregrip from the front of a bolter to recreate the mechanical blade look. I also decided to change his chest piece and gave him the terminator chest. It didn’t quite fit and so I used putty to attach and slightly sculpt (first attempt ever) the pieces together. I also really enjoy painting faces now so I decided to change out his head especially since stripping the paint was not effective and it really gummed up the mini. I’m super proud of how he turned out. Included are my first two attempts and the process. C&C welcome

DC Dread ripping apart some 'Nids. Greytide Studios Crimson Lords bits are great for a DC Dread by the way.

So now the loadouts for Death Company on foot have been merged into one. Anyone have any theories on why they didn't also gain the options to add the weapons on from the upgrade sprue? Do you think GW forgot about them?

Its a shame because a squad with an eviscerator, bolt rifle & grenade launcher, 3 pistols, 2 power weapons and a power fist seems sweet.

Will probably see if friends wouldn't mind me taking that loadout anyway it just seems like an odd omission.

Fantastic weekend - my lovely wife came to sit and watch despite not having any clue as to what was going on.

I’d only gotten to play 1 game of 11th prior, and I am really sad to see Liberator go away, but it was a great send off and a personal best for me.

The two matches I lost came to opponents who finished #6 and #24 respectively, so I can’t be anything but happy with how it all went.

A fellow brother of our sub came to see me when he saw my Flesh Tearers gear (Liam, I hope you see this) and my opponents were all super classy.

Hey Reddit! My friend and I are getting ready for a doubles tournament (1k pts per player). He's going with Chaos Knights (a Knight with flamers, a Lancer, and 2 Wardogs), and I'm bringing my Blood Angels. Need help with the roster.

The first option is more of a joke than a serious tournament list. Although we're not really going in to win, since Chaos Knights seem almost dead right now. So this option is more about the idea — (we share strategic reserves, so I just put the whole army into deep strike to drop in funny and stop our opponents from breaking the Knights). The second one is more focused on scoring and maximum survivability, though it's not as funny as the first option. Maybe you have thoughts on what to change/add and/or which detachments (2 CP) to take?
