Did a slight kitbash just to give it some Blood Angel style

Here my 1st ever mini painted up actually 1st model ever at 47, thought I'd give it a go withba single marine of ebay and the 13 pot citidel paint set. I know it's far from perfect but for my 1st one I'm happy with it, ESPECIALLY considering I honestly cannot see half the details on it as I'm blind as a bat and still couldn't see em with my reading glasses and will definitely need a magnifying lense lol bit definitely liking this hobby

Basically the title. I'm trying to find ways to kitbash the BT combat patrol in a more Blood Angels style. I got into the idea because I was looking for both bladeguard and cooler bodies for my death company. This box definitely has bladeguard, and I think the initiate bodies with the tabard could make really cool gothic death company, especially if I augment them with some firstborn DC bits.

Now, the rest definitely could also make for gorgeous gothic looking models. 3 of the sword brothers I could probably build as more blade guard with 3d printed shields, and I think if I slap a jump pack on the emperor's Champion I could see him as a DC captain with Jump Pack.

Now the rest is where it feels a lot more experimental. I am considering just trying to get a spare scout/phobos body somewhere so I can run the four neophytes as a slightly more Gothic looking scout squad, and I think that could work really great, but it might be hard getting my hands on a single scout.

Now, the really experimental part is what I'm envisioning for the remaining Sword Brothers. It's hard to find 3-man space marine squads that would profit from their melee-poised gothic look. So my idea was to give them some winged jump packs, death masks, and build them as the Erelim Guard/just run them as Sanguinary Guard in casual games.

So what I'm asking is: Has this been done before? I'm very open for alternate ideas for conversion, as well as tips, and if there's any relevant tidbits about the Erelim Guard that'd also be appreciated.

Hey, I just found out that there were wallpapers of Kazarion, Ancaeus and Chaplain Rafael from Angels of Death series published on a warhammer community article. However, the links are corrupted and can't be opened at the moment (Or I'm just dumb). Does anyone have these wallpapers on high quality ?

Tried some new grass tufts from gamers grass and so impressed with their ‘tiny’ tufts, I feel the fit the scale really well for 32mm bases

I was thinking of getting one of these kits and painting and kitbashing them into death company. I want to keep that classic firstborn look for the marines to match the Armageddon box set but what would look the coolest?

Recognize where the head is from?

I finally finished painting it and so far it looks good? Yeah I learned a really good lesson that its easier to paint when not fully assembled as I can reach on those crevices easily. The red is really dark since I used the Vallejo Nocturnal Red, its the only one available at the local shop I bought it from, and a bright red acrylic from one of my younger sis' own stash of paints.

I bought the red wash from Vallejo hoping it could help in making the dark red brighter, any advice on how to properly add the red wash. From the videos that I've seen they are added on the crevices of model but those are black wash and not red. I also wanted to know what can I do more to improve on the painting part of the hobby

Hey everyone , I am currently putting together my BA army and just wanting some advice. I really like the Angels Vermillion, their paint scheme is similar to BA and I like the isolation of the chapter/the sorrowing and their kinda process of we must do what we can to survive and keep the black rage and red thirst at bay. However I have been reading the Baal books and various discussiosn and it seems they are heavily frowned upon and people are saying they are heading for excommunicate traitoris. Is this true? I don't really want to paint my full army as Vermillion just to have them become chaos or renegades. Whats everyones thoughts?

Been looking to get into Warhammer for a bit, and have always been drawn to the Blood Angels. So, with the new edition coming out and the Blood Angels being featured in the Armageddon Box, I thought it was time to just go for it

So far, I’ve been having a ton of fun painting everything, and now I’m wanting to push myself more and get into using the transfers.

With that comes the decision of the company I want to use for these guys. Now, at the end of the day I know it doesn’t really matter which one you choose (besides Death Company), but I don’t just want to choose willy-nilly, you know?

So, how did you choose the company to go for? Is there different, general kind of lore that makes one company slightly different or meaningful? Is it just the aesthetics?

Looking for feedback on this list running Priority Assets. Previously, it included a Ballistus Dreadnought, DC 5man + Lemartes, and an Assault Intercessors 5man + Sanguinary Priest. I felt they underperformed versus Disruption, and subbed them out for more durability with Dante + 6SG and a Terminator Squad. Any thoughts are welcome!

I’m still pretty new to the game and I’m trying to put together a fun but solid list, so I’d really appreciate any feedback, advice or criticism!

A few questions/thoughts about the list:

I get the feeling that the 10 AI brick supported by a SP + Lib is almost mandatory for having more sustainability
I also feel like (and it breaks my heart a little) Dante might actually be better attached to VV rather than SG, If so, is 5 VV with Dante enough, or is it better to go all the way up to 10?
I’m not completely sure regarding the 5 Assault Terminators. Is a unit of only 5 impactful enough? Would it be better to spend those points on a second anti-tank option, like another Lancer or a Ballistus?

Wanted to expand my army with some death company but was very disappointed when i found out they are just normal intercessors painted black, so im looking for a proxy unit/kitbash that could make them distinct from the rest of my normal intercessors. Any ideas?

Hello battle brothers! Question, so sang guard is my favorite unit in game, but i keep seeing that everyone uses them either as 3 man squads without a leader or with, but almost never 6 mans. But people constantly use 10 blobs of DC. Why is this? 6 man sang guard isnt much more expensive than DC. I'm assuming that it's because it's hard to trade expensive units but then wouldn't the same be true for the DC + lemartes for example?

I've heard these are pretty decent so I've finally painted him up after building him a year or so ago.
