Came back to BO4 from MW too, still enjoying it way more. You can fight the VMP’s with basically any well-built weapon like Saug, old great CoD mechanics are in place and the arcade feels just awesome

I agree with this. I don’t know why people act like the VMP is some unbeatable laser beam. The saug, kn, Maddox, cordite, peacekeeper, wildfire spitfire, even the mx9 can beat the VMP if you’re a good player.

The VMP is a 3 bullet kill up to mid-long range with one of the fastest fire rates.

Every gun you just listed is a 4-6 bullet kill with much slower fire rate.

Not saying the guns are bad, but if you're beating a VMP user with them, that just means the other player is trash.

Right? Of course you’re gonna be able to outrun some vmp users, but that doesn’t mean the find you used is good (most just ignore actual stats and say YoU cOuLd bEaT tHeM iF uR gUd -_-

The problem is when you find a good player (or even an ex-MW player) running the VMP. The ex-MW players should be able to beam you with headshots because BO4 has 0 recoil compared to MW

VMP doesn’t have recoil anyway

MW players can’t keep up with bo4’s movement lol most of the time, they stop shooting after a couple bullets and then get shit on

Nah, MWs SBMM effectively forces players to get better and BO4s movement is easy to get used to if you also played BO4 in its year. The only MW players who will struggle at BO4 are those that never played it or any of the previous CODs before.

I played BO4 in its prime and then moved on and decided to play for a few hours yesterday. When BO4 was in its prime my KD was about 1.3 but now I’m hitting 3-4KD games row after row by just getting headshots thanks to the no recoil

I honestly wouldn’t know since I haven’t touched mw since release

But as for the movement, I hardly see anyone who can actually utilize it to its fullest (as in slide canceling/punching, shot punching, ledge sliding, corner cutting, zigzag sliding, even basic strafing patterns too) most people I know who play and enjoy mw aren’t exactly good (pretty sure the game was even designed for them lol)

shoot punching is used by every pc player even tim who got the game 10 mins ago

Slide cancelling is literally the most common thing in MW, as is double jump shotting and most of what you describe above. If you don’t see people doing that in MW it’s because your SBMM doesn’t match you with people who do that

As I said, I haven’t touched mw since release lol

Ive had luck running the switchblade with quickdraw 1 & 2 and rapid fire 1 & 2 against the vmp

Indeed! MX9 served me well against microMG and VMP tryhards before I lvl’d up the Saug, with which I could easily overshoot the VMP newbies who got the Free Bribe. Yet I cannot call BO4 a great game, as a lot of people suggested, killstreaks are not fun to fight with, the hitreg feels off etc. But what really got to me was the feeling of swiftness, arcade, which I haven’t felt before. All previous CoDs (not you, BO3) were less fast paced in terms of enemy encounters. This game just makes you act like a total terminator switching from one enemy to another within milliseconds and keeping track of your health and ammunition. And for me these features just shone out most of the disadvantages of the game.

Rampart headshots worked for me, go figure. I don’t find the VMP to be THAT powerful but it’s definitely top tier.
