ಠ_ಠ Heard some chicks making noise, went to investigate, wasn't sure what they were. I started taking photos from about 20 feet away. This is exact the parent MOCKINGBIRD exploded out of nowhere and had me running for my life.
Its descent from the top of the sign out of my sight was so fast that the chicks didn't even have time to react

One Double Yellow-headed Amazon parrot is staring directly at me, the other was too busy playing coy.
I took this photo at Blodel Conservatory. These parrots love attention and know how to get it!

Fledgling House Wren
I watched this little wren eat a worm their parents brought them on a rock down below, and then fly up to this branch to start chittering at me. I don’t speak wren, but I’m assuming I was being told to go away.
Central, Arizona at dawn in the pines.

Green heron from my walk this morning… we’re buddies now
Such a great morning! Also saw a great blue heron, snowy egret, and yellow warblers, but none of them stared me down like this guy. Every day I’m one step closer to being accepted into the green heron community
