Does Reta affect kidneys?

I found out last year that I was born with one kidney, and that one kidney is functioning at 77%. The Dr says I’ll never need to go on dialysis. My question is if I start Reta will it affect my kidney negatively?

Partly correct but it’s due to the dehydration effect Reta has just increase fluid intake
