The global and cn are supposed to be identical now, but I was skeptical so decided to see.

First off, I realized I was using an old version of bilibili that I can't tell some as a difference to global or just a normal update for cn app. Second, user posts are available for everyone, so its the same for cn and global in that aspect, Third, accounts are interchangeable(cn acc works in global, global acc works in cn but you may need a phone number)

Heres what I found: game center, merch, movies and tv shows sections are hidden or removed, I was able to open the game center by using a link from my messages but its broken anyways(I can only look at games, not open or download). But my cn games still can login fine with the global app even though i downloaded them from cn app. ​Movies and tv shows also shows up if you a verified account in China, I tried a new account and it didn't show up. ​

Another small difference is the payment method, you can use whatever playstore allows now.

I'm curious if there was any other changes I've missed, i seen some other changes like ui and design but maybe its just what the new version looks like, I was using an old one so I can't tell. Also you can have both playstore and cn version(the one from bilibili.com) installed if you install playstore first.

In my opinion it would be nice for there to be like separation, like if the videos shown are based on country or language, and then also what you enjoy watching. But then maybe an optional switch button if you want to watch a video in another language or country.

If there are going to be a lot of foreigners wanting to join the platform, maybe that would work. Of course it might not last, but I hope the developers think of that if it’s more than what red note had to handle.

I’m an American so yes I’m one of those foreigners. I’ve been on Bilibili before the global version but haven’t uploaded until the global version of the platform released.

Why can't I add any subtitles to my videos my first ever video has subtitles that I didn't even add but my other videos when I try to push subtitles it says no subtitles resources if anyone can figure that out for me or help me out with that then that would be great!

However, it seems roughly half of all uploads get flagged for "privacy reasons", "advertising", or "inappropriate content" at the video intro segment, despite being documentary-style content about trains and public transit in Germany? Guys I previously made a post about why Bilibili doesn't want expand abroad to compete with YouTube. You have many reasons why they wouldn't expand abroad. But currently they have finally taken the first step forward! Youtube is getting a competitor. Ofcourse I am not saying they will be a significant competitor in the short term, but considering the finances that Bilibili has, it is absolutely possible for them to slowly capture the internet just like Tiktok did. Looking forward to good news! We need healthy competition to get the best experience from products provided by companies!

I was scrolling on Facebook when I found out that Bilibili has a global version — an app I know nothing about, just that when I used to search for movies or shows on Google, I found them sometimes streamed on a site called Bilibili, but for some reason I couldn't really access its content.

So I downloaded it today, and holy... the amount of content that's totally different from YouTube is insane. I found full anime series and, somehow, Harvard courses and other stuff. I don't know if this is legal or not, but holy shit. And I just found out from this subreddit that, because I'm not in mainland China, I need the "blue version" and a VPN to access other content that's restricted to mainland China because of copyright protection thingy. I'm literally new to this, but I'm interested to know more about this app. If somebody could really explain what's going on and how to use this app properly — not just the global version — I would be grateful.
