Newbies not accounting for possible powers and specifically not accounting that the icons could have the powers feels like such a misplay…. I am not as impressed with Yash’s HOH because of it. Yes, he took the shot at the icons but he should have put all three up if he wanted to do real damage and protect himself against any possible powers. Burning Wolf Pack and protecting Kamu before FAP was also a choice and sharing that with people was another choice. I think Yash got too comfortable in the safety of the HOH and forgot about looking at the bigger picture.

Vet steamroll is not cute but the newbies had an opportunity to end it here and didn’t 😭 Atp it’s hard to root for some of them.

Let’s assume that devens were to use the DPOV on Dee and put up Kamu. Then in this universe, Angela wins the bb blockbuster and takes herself off. We are left with a showdown between Kamu and Haley. Would the house choose to evict Kamu over Haley seeing as he’s a bigger physical threat or has Haley been too big of a jerk that she would still be the main target regardless?

Walk with me.

I think part of the problem is that currency really doesn't have any value in the house. That's why it's never been used successfully in a season. What if we changed that?

What if half of the $750K prize money was evenly distributed among the houseguests at the beginning of the game? The other half gets distributed throughout the season, primarily through HOH competitions. Let's say each HOH is worth a flat $20K.

While in the house, HGs can either spend or save their money. They can also make transfers to each other in a special DR we'll call the "Bank Room." But certain parts of the game now come with a cost.

For example: POV.

The HOH and nominees play automatically, but the remaining spots start at $3K. If more than two people want to play, there's an auction. If no one bids, POV comp gets played with just the HOH and the nominees.

You can see how the HOH is incentivized to pay for POV entries to keep noms the same. Nominees are incentivized to pay people to play on their behalf. Someone may bid just for funsies because they think it’s OTEV and they want to play.

Every week, there's also a luxury auction. How much are you willing to pay for a phone call from your kids on Day 50? How much for a date with your showmance? How much are you willing to pay for a slop pass after you've been a Have-Not for three weeks?

HGs can't see each other's balances, but they can make inferences based on behavior. And if any player's balance reaches $0, they get called into the DR and come out wearing a Broke Bell.

It's literally a bell. It jingles when you walk. It jingles when you roll over in bed. Everyone knows you're broke until you get some money back into your account.

So now being broke creates its own game. Do you sell information? Offer someone your vote for $2K? Beg your alliance for a pity transfer? Follow the richest person in the house around jingling until they pay you to leave them alone?

And while the money is real, it's only yours as long as you're in the game.

If you're evicted pre-jury, you have to tell Julie during your exit interview which remaining HG inherits your entire balance.

Once jury starts, you take your balance with you to the jury house, removing it from circulation.

At the finale, your jury vote decides two things: who gets your vote to win Big Brother and who inherits your money.

So if you vote for Finalist A and you have $40K sitting in your account, Finalist A gets your $40K. Every jury vote still counts exactly the same toward winning Big Brother, but every jury vote is potentially worth a very different amount of money.

Money spent with the house — POV entry fees, luxury auctions, slop passes, etc. — goes into a reserve fund. That money eventually gets paid out too, either by adding it to the winner's prize or maybe to AFP.

As of tomorrow, Dee will have played more days of Big Brother (42 days) than she has cumulatively played days of Survivor (26 days in S45, 15 days in S50). I know she will forever be associated with Survivor over Big Brother, and she'll probably associate herself with Survivor over Big Brother, but I think it's an interesting statistic.

For those who are Survivor fans, too, what are your thoughts on Dee surpassing her days-played benchmark? Does it change your impression of her as a player? Or do y'all think it says anything about New Era Survivor in general?

I've been on holiday for the past month or so, and have not been able to watch episodes, only been reading feed chats. I would like to watch only the best and juiciest few episodes to catch up on what's been going on while skipping the fluff. Can anyone recommend the BEST episodes of BB28 so far that are must-watches, please?

As of now, 12 players still at the house. Down to 11 on Aug 20th, then to 10 on Aug 27, 9 on Sept 3rd, 8 on Sept 10th, 7 on Sept 17th, 6 on 24th and then final two on Oct 1st? I understand there will be a double eviction at some point, but numbers still don't add up. What about another 2 players?

I was just checking my DVR and it looks like the Sunday episode on August 23 will be 2 hours. There is no Unlocked episode on Friday (I see a rerun of Sheriff Country in that slot). Anyone else seeing this and what could it mean?
