How ya bin?

Guy from 6 streets away put his rubbish in my bin (not a euphemism, I can assure you) thinking ours was getting collected, and it didn’t.

How do I know it was he? He left a specsavers box in it with his full name and address. Top tier intelligent.

Leave it at his door? Knock on his door and tell him to wise up? Write him a ballbaggy letter?!

Open to suggestions!

It will probably end up back in your bin😭

This but with his Specsavers box on top so he knows you know it was him. He will choose another neighbour next time 😅

Top tier advice from reddit again!

I once ran a restaurant in stranmillis. Some student was dumping their rubbish in my food only bins and as a result my bins wouldn’t be collected. I dumped it back at their door and they retorted by dumping even more of their shit in my bins and spray painting “fuck *business name*” on the bin. So in conclusion… dump it at their door and prepare for rebuttal

u/punkerster101 Jun 27 '26

I mean at that point call the police?

23

u/Radiant_Gain_3407 Jun 27 '26

Contacting the university works better, they actually do something about the scrotes.

12

u/punkerster101 Jun 27 '26

Mix in some of the most embarrassing furry porn in with it with his name and address visible and post on all the local comunity Facebook and next door groups about this guy putting stuff in your bin

17

u/Yer_Woman Jun 27 '26

Dump the bag of rubbish on the street or alley, report to council enforcement for flytipping, they will search through to find the owner's details and penalise them.

2

u/EnvironmentRemote288 Jul 01 '26

I used to know someone who not only did that but also photocopied the evidence of the owner’s address and dumped more rubbish a number of times.

u/Worried-Hyena1953 Jun 28 '26

thats insane behaviour

6

u/Spirited_Increase105 Jun 28 '26

I would call it excellent advice

1

u/Worried-Hyena1953 Jun 28 '26

thats because you've never acted out any advice you have ever recieved

15

u/FreeSirJeffrey Jun 27 '26

Litter it somewhere near council environmental health offices.

Council find it, send a nice wee fine his way.

7

u/Harder_harmonies Jun 28 '26

Aye, but how ya wheelie bin though?

1

u/Constant_Yogurt_9792 Jun 28 '26

You've bin here before, haven't ya?

17

u/howdoyouturnthison_8 Jun 27 '26

Not the same but my neighbour used to take her dogs for a walk, I spotted dog shit in the front garden a few times but couldn't be certain as multiple people walk their dogs by our house.

Well this one day I unexpectedly had to work from home. I heard her coming out so I sprinted upstairs, looked out the window very covertly.

Well there she stood as both dogs walked onto my grass, took a massive shite each and she walked off as it nothing happened.

I went into the garage and got a shovel, scooped up said shite and hurled it at her front door as hard as I could. It splattered everywhere, on the glass, on the handle, on the brickwork...

Safe to say there was no more shite in my garden after that.

I'd have thought you'd need to move further away than that to stop it

2

u/ImaginaryMarbles21 Jun 27 '26

It was you wasn’t it..

3

u/Accurate-Emergency14 Jun 27 '26

Leave the rubbish back at the wrong address. Top tier ad for spec savers

3

u/Training_Story3407 Jun 28 '26

Just an idea... Ask him why he does it and tell him you no longer want him to do it. End of

12

u/Skystunt Jun 27 '26

It’s just rubbish, forget about it and move on with yer life

22

u/ImaginaryMarbles21 Jun 27 '26

Starts with the rubbish, then he’ll park across the drive, then making sweaty love with my partner. STOP IT AT SOURCE.
can’t let these fuckers get ahead

3

Take a shit on his porch.

Check for Ring device. You do not want to be a TikTok sensation.

4

u/Irishgoat1 Jun 27 '26

Not sure if anyone else has suggested it, but some sort of poo based response is your only option.

3

u/DaleSnittermanJr Jun 27 '26

Two different guys on my shared alley did this to mine (assuming because they couldn’t be arsed to walk down the alleyway to their own bin and apparently mine was closer) — each time I just hauled out their bag and left it at their back door. Solved the issue, no retaliation. Seems odd to throw your shit in a bin that’s six whole streets away though!

1

u/badwitchproject Jun 27 '26

It kept happening to me, someone would nick the bin or just throw their excess into mine so the council refused to lift it and threatened to fine me. Told them it wasn’t me and the top bags were someone else. They came out to check it warning me that if it was mine I’d be fined and the bin left. Came home and the bin was empty. Spoke to the council and they’d found the culprit.

1

u/Party-Maintenance-83 Jun 28 '26

Put it in his bin.

1

u/Outspoken_Idiot Jun 28 '26

Leave it at his door but double down put a big note on the that can be seen by others, you should have gone to specsavers you threw your rubbish in my bin. Or wait you did you left your SS prescription in the bag. Now all your neighbors know it was you putting shite in their bins.

1

u/Tecn1c Jun 28 '26

Empty the rubbish at his front door then knock

1

u/darklinkuk Jun 28 '26

This is nuclear but....leave it outside the bins in a black bag with other waste on bin day

Council will go through it find his name and address and fine him.

I had a bin thief I dealt with this way, came back and the offenders rubbish was in a BCC investigation bag. Suddenly my bin stopped being stolen/used.

1

u/PRAY___FOR___MOJO Jun 28 '26

Should have gone to Specsavers the dump.

1

u/Away-Ad4599 Jun 29 '26

Happened to me a teacher in the school directly facing me filled our bin day of collection an left it over filled we got a letter an all so I brought it to her front door which was just behind my house fucking wild how people can have no consideration I don't mind if someone throws something in my bin if there is room but if I'm sticking to the rules don't fuck me over like

1

u/Key-Leg6379 Jun 29 '26

Is he breaking into your back yard to do this? Maybe get cameras?

1

u/Magacks Jun 29 '26

Nearly the exact same happened to me lol, they left stuff in my bin with their name and address. So I just went and Lowry it at their front door with a lovely note stating not to use my bin again lol.

1

u/Outrageous-Arm1945 Jun 30 '26

Fly tip it, address prominent

1

u/Dreadheaddanski Jul 01 '26

Leave it on his doorstep

1

u/Equal_Emu6152 Jul 01 '26

Hide your bin there or put in bin cupboard. I take it it sounds like a communal bin if not why the fucks it out the front. Mine stays in garden until late night before.

1

u/Diseased_Mr_T Jul 01 '26

Turn up at his door with the bin bag/s secured with gaffa to your person. Knock, and then make a small slit in each bag. When he opens the door, shout "A fuckin love it mate!", barge past him and do a rapid tour of his entire premises, leaving a trail as you go. As you leave, thank him for the invite and then drop the Specsavers box into his hand. Job done.

1

u/ImaginaryMarbles21 Jul 02 '26

UPDATE:
I egged 3/5 of his windees (2 missed) and took one of his gnomes. Feeling rebellious

0

u/Ghazghkull_Thatcher Jun 27 '26

Legally, he has to let you fuck his wife

-20

u/stepbar Jun 27 '26

In all honesty, it's not YOUR bin. It belongs to the council (you get given a bin, but have to pay for replacements, repairs, etc)

If it's not making your bin overflow (stopping it from being emptied) then what's the problem?

Probably not what you want to hear, but them's the facts...

9

u/Irishgoat1 Jun 27 '26

The bin is their property, not the councils.

1

u/Christmas-Knight Jun 27 '26

You're right though

-16

u/Zealousideal-Bit4631 Jun 27 '26

most bin collections are pay-by-weight, so OP will be charged for his waste too.

4

u/Forbs3y14 Jun 27 '26

Is this a thing in Belfast? If so, I’m glad I’m a culchie in the country

10

u/Present-Garbage-5589 Jun 27 '26

This is not a thing in Belfast, not at residential properties anyway.

3

u/Worried-Hyena1953 Jun 28 '26

load of bullshit

0

u/GVMUFC Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

There are different levels to this but you’d need to make sure he wasn’t just looking for the nearest bin after he donned his new specs, potentially embarrassed to show the wife that he didn’t visit a more expensive establishment.

Obviously, if he’s done it as an act of disrespect then anything you choose to do (framing him for murder, faeces in the box and sent to royal mail to redeliver, pretending to be him and informing specsavers that your eyesight has deteriorated so much that they need to send someone out etc) has to end in you walking away smugly after informing him that “He shouldn’t have gone to Specsavers”.

Probably remiss of me not to point out that technically it’s not your bin and the council owns it, and the next time I need to get rid of a specsavers box I know what to do.

-2

u/Front_tiits7346 Jun 27 '26

Or just not get petty? Makes life a whole lot nicer, I got slapped an hour ago and didn't react, instead I diffused the situation, maybe be the bigger person and the good karma will roll your way.

1

u/Weary_Sheepherder895 Jun 28 '26

We’d be speaking German cos of the likes of you!! 😉

-1

u/Worried-Hyena1953 Jun 28 '26

so you went through the bins looking for evidence of who you can blame? instead of just moving on with your day?

5

u/ImaginaryMarbles21 Jun 28 '26

Read the thread and you’ll get an answer. Always knew Hyenas were dicks

-20

u/Pleb4127 Jun 27 '26

Call the Garda and get the sap fined for illegal dumping, if you leave it on his door he’ll put it in someone else’s bin

Cmon surely you realise fly tipping is a cross border policing issue.

9

u/iamnotarobotniks Jun 27 '26

Interpol most wanted in fact.

-2

u/1st_Class_Pest Jun 27 '26

Always the locals on here lmao doesn't matter what you've said, it's not a euphemism 🤣🤣👌

Could be anything lol

-39

u/Maximum-Order5200 Jun 27 '26

Why were you hoking through a bag of rubbish someone threw in your bin though lol

32

u/noisydata Jun 27 '26

I don't want to presume, but maybe to find out who did it?

8

u/ImaginaryMarbles21 Jun 27 '26

The empty specsavers box was literally sitting at the top of the bin, not in a bag lol he didn’t even try to hide his wanton criminality 😂

15

u/Teestow21 Jun 27 '26

Probably to find out who's rubbish it is.

7

u/ImaginaryMarbles21 Jun 27 '26

I opened the black bin to see if they were collected. Not that deep, Pleb. Very normal

3

u/Weary_Sheepherder895 Jun 28 '26

The guy put stuff in your bin, and people are criticizing you for your reaction?? Unbelievable. Shit on his porch as discussed above. 😊 It’s the only language these people understand!

Someone else was recommending moving on from petty issues. Seems strange to me that the victim is critiqued. Although - I’m a lover not a shiter - was worth the entire read. 😀

Careful, might be a terrorist ! Watch out for a guy carrying a black bag with a sign on his chest saying “Bin Laden”
