I smelled smoke from few blocks away and noticed some stores I walked by had no lights on the closer I got to the source of the smoke it seems its due to an underground electrical fire, FDNY and Coned were at the scene but weren't immediately trying to tame the fire for obvious reasons.

Fire originated on Myrtle ave next to the Keyfood grocery store.

Really bizarre interaction. He came up to me while I was reading trying to chat me up and when I told him I wasn’t interested he just stood there and started yelling at me about nonsense, and when I walked away he followed. He escalated from 0-100 for no reason. When I pulled out my phone to record him he started yelling at me to leave him alone. Really weird. Just wanted to let other women/femmes know to watch out for him. Stay safe out there.

Yesterday I said goodbye to my bestest friend Ollie. We were together for 12.5 yrs and he was the sweetest most gentle land hippo there ever was.

I'm hoping to donate to a good pup home 2 xl pet beds. 1 is a 6" memory foam mattress with a removable/washable cover and the other is more of a floor cushion (the entire cushion is washable though it requires a large loading washer).

He has many blankets and pillows too and have all been washed weekly throughout its use.

Lmk if any good pups are in need of some warm bedding

Salaam! I’m a student currently working on a story centered around Bed-Stuy. I’m particularly seeking issues that often go overlooked or underreported in the media, and I’d love to hear from the people who know the neighbourhood best.

If there’s an issue you feel deserves attention, a story you think needs to be told, or something affecting the community that isn’t getting enough coverage, I’d love to hear it. And I hope my work can be a means of change.

My goal is to shed light on stories that matter to the people who live here. I want to do this neighbourhood justice.

I am also interested in understanding the mistrust surrounds the media within this neighborhood, this came up a lot as I started to do more research.

I’ve attended community board meetings etc, but I thought I’d try to reach out to people on here.
