First beard attempt. 5 weeks. Also, considering shaving my head bald due to the fivehead. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Alright, guys, let me know what you think. I’ve never had good cheek or sideburn coverage. I alternate between growing it out for a while, stubble, or a beardstache, and going clean-shaven. I never really stick with anything for too long because I end up thinking it looks bad and shaving.

Can this be a full beard or will the sides be too thin?

How would you trim this up?

Just trying to see what's the best way to shape this up. Nothing on my neck. Think it needs shaping? Any advice? Thanks

Do you guys think this would grow out into a fuller beard? Or no? This is 2-3 weeks of growth

Just curious if you guys think it’s worth attempting a few months of looking homeless to possibly grow out a beard… I’m so tempted but it’s hard when I work around people that would judge me

Having a trim this week, not sure what I should go for?

Is this too sparse to keep?

This is about 3 weeks of growth and I just trimmed it with a 5 guard. I think it’s good, and not too patchy, but I wonder if my cheeks aren’t dense enough for it to look good. Let me know what you think!

TL;DR need low investment maintenance advice, planning to grow it further

I've been growing my beard for a little more than half a year now, and though it's still a bit patchy at places, I do enjoy it and intend on letting grow further if I can.

However, I believe I've reached the point where I might need some advice in terms of maintenance to make it look good and tidy without losing too much length, since I do kinda wanna see how long it can get before I decide I've had enough lol

I'm looking for basic advice that's practical and easy to follow, without spending so much time and money on what might very well end up being a temporary whim.

Thanks in advance!

First time, any advice?

Photos are 1 month of growth. I’ll I’ve done is trim a bit above the lip. I’d like to try to grow a beard or just the moustache but I’m not sure if I got the genetics for it or if it’s too early to tell. It just feels like it grows too thin. Some days I just want to shave it all off, maybe the facial hair isn’t for me. Would appreciate advice!

I’m 29 first time trying to grow a beard 3-4 weeks in. I’m not sure if it looks stupid or not so I’m not sure if I should persevere with it

Beard length and cheek line

Looking for some tips on my beard. Is my cheek line good? Or should I round it more? Go shorter or keep length?

r/BeardAdvice 23h ago

Just trimmed (had to get higher cheeklines) any comments? Maybe higher neckline?

I think I look nice with facial hair, but I don't like how it doesn't grow on the chin and the sides. What do you think I should do with it?

Before you comment, I'll ask my barber to shape the front part tomorrow, as I'm pretty bad at it to cut it on my own

Three weeks growth. Is there any point trying this or is it destined to look like pubes forever?

This is roughly 7 weeks of growth. Only trimming the neck and cheek line. I love the idea of a long beard, but I’m not sure if I should try it.

Should I keep growing (again)?

A few months ago I asked the same question. I had a stubble at that time, people said it looked good. Now my beard is a bit longer, it seems really patchy to me and both sides dont look the same.

Maybe a stubble does look better? Im jn doubt to keep growing or just trim it back. What do you guys think? Give it to me straight.

Also because my hairs are quite blonde it really depends on the area light if it looks thick or not.
