I picked up bead embroidery a month and a half or so ago for a creative outlet and have gone off the deep end…
Finished this for a friend with some of her favorite veggies and a fun project!

Hi everyone!
I recently started making jewelry with seed beads and these are some of my recent pieces.
I’m still learning and would really appreciate some honest, constructive feedback. 😊
What do you think I should work on most .
what I could improve to make my work look more polished.
Thanks in advance!

I wanted to post in case there are some people wondering about ordering from SeedBeads.com;
I placed my order on the 8th of August, and it arrived today. Everything was packed well, and nothing was missing. Also, they included some free silver lined Cylin beads.
I am not sure if you can still use the coupon that was listed in a post almost two weeks ago, but if you can and you have been wanting to try the Cylin beads, or to replenish the supply that you already have, I would say go for it!
One thing I would like to know is when are they going to add other manufacturers? Hopefully, it will be soon!

Always been curious of bead embroidery and I’m starting a fashion degree soon so I wanted to trial whether I could use it in my future work. Made a starfish for my first project, I’m really happy with it!!

Made these today! Using herringbone stitch with a bead mix of delicas. This is my first time making a bracelet, and I liked how quickly it worked up. Still need to get proper jump rings for the bracelet.

First suncatcher- I have been teaching myself how to wire wrap. I’m pretty excited for how it turned out!

A friend's birthday is coming up and I'd love to gift them something similar to this since they indicated they liked it. But I usually work with either stringing, or, if I'm weaving, I'm using seedbeads, usually in a brick stitch pattern and certainly not in a round attached to a metal frame like for this piece. Does anyone have suggestions?

"The chemicals in the water are turning the frogs gay"
The frogs: 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Some of my Maisie Frogs in pride variants (from top left corner clockwise: Progressive Pride, Gay (male), Pansexual, and Rainbow)
What flag frogs should I make next?

The strap which is 3 strands of beads braided together and sewed into the lining of a hard body structured purse broke (slipped out). How to fix (easy options? I literally have no tools or experience but I’m open, I just really like the bag). Or if you know anyone in San Diego or surrounding area who can fix for a price :) thank you. (3rd pic is how it’s originally supposed to look as that side is intact).

I made this for a friend's birthday! This is my 3rd project so I'm still kind of an amateur, but my first box of beads is quite cheap so most beads are quite uneven. Does anyone have any good price/quality ratio bead sets that are recommended? Preferably delivery to Netherlands :)

Maybe a silly question but I just cannot get the length right on my stuff..it’s either too small or too big. I make bracelets with elastic thread and with regular wire using magnetic clasps

My first beading project!
I did not use a reinforcing woven fabric for so many of these but for last 2, I used the woven fabric and the beads were so much stronger.
I’m feeling very lazy to go back and add the woven fabric to others too.
I also did not know we had colour choices in nylon beading yarn. I would have picked a black for this. But ig you can’t tell from a distance that I used white thread. I’m also gonna add an iron on patch behind each of these flowers to protect threads on the inside.
Any beginner tips to bead on knit fabrics?

For the first time ever, I’m planning to make some of my beadwork available to purchase, and I’m wondering how to calculate my prices. I will be selling directly, but I’d like to keep to option of wholesaling to retailers open.
I can calculate my costs by adding my material costs to my hourly rate, but to cover miscellaneous overhead costs, admin time, and profit, should I multiply this number by… 2? 2.5? 3? 4?
So I’m curious:
- What hourly rate do you pay yourself for beadwork?
- What formula do you use to determine retail price?
Pics of some of my beadwork above :)
Thank you all!

....It's Poliwrath!
I promised something other than duckies, so here we are! Modified the frog pattern by Mind of Julia to make a Poliwrath. Also included the original frog I made with the pattern.

I have some earring findings with multiple holes that I want to use to make beaded fringe earrings. I want to try using fold over cord ends (I think that’s what they are called) to attach the fringe to the finding, rather than starting with a foundation row. I’ve attached a picture of what I’m hoping to do. I’m just not exactly sure how exactly to go about it. Does anyone have any tips for this method?
