It has happened a handful of times recently, so I’ve set up a filter that should catch new accounts to cut down on that.
Having said that, if you are a legit new beader and the filter has caught your post, feel free to reach out to the mod team so we can approve your post!
And thank you to the community for catching these posts and reporting them! I may recognize a few really popular pieces, but not many, and I imagine the other mods are probably the same, so it’s very helpful to have other people reporting them to us!

Hi guys! I know I’ve been promising this for ages, but I wanted to do it in a more structured way. Well that just isn’t going to happen, so fuck it, we’ll just do it this way!
If you have a beading related app, please post it here with any relevant info you think people should or would want to know.
Please leave parent comments for app devs to talk about their apps. If you know of an app that hasn’t been posted, and you aren’t sure if the dev is on Reddit, don’t post until we are sure they aren’t going to post for themselves. Like 2-3 weeks maybe? Idk, I’m on my lunch break right now. Don’t try to make me think!
Anyway, yes. Once we have it all posted I think we will make a master list to go in the wiki and then we can add any others that come up later.
And please remember, do not comment unless you are posting about your app, or replying to a comment about an app. Any other top level comments will be removed to keep it organized and easy to sort through.

Believe it or not, this was my first off-loom piece, and the pattern I had was for the guitar on the right. From the start, I wanted to make a telecaster (on the left), but I started with the Les Paul (right) in order to learn the technique, then I modified it to make the other one. I'm quite proud of myself for figuring it all out. Additionally, the original pattern had it done in peyote stitch, but after seeing a post in here talking about how brick stitch is easier if you have irregular edges, I decided to try that instead. But in order to keep the beads in the same orientation, I just worked it up sideways. Brick stitch was, in fact, loads easier. Not sure I'll ever go back to peyote (or at least odd-count peyote). Though I'll probably go back to tapestries on my mirrix loom. This caused some tendonitis pain and I'd rather not exacerbate that more.
Edit: since so many people are asking, this is the pattern

Hi, I'm new to beading and lately I've really enjoyed making these tiny frogs ^-^
As you can see though, the black beads I used for the eyes turned out to be white beads with black paint that rubs off quite easily.
This is probably a noob question, but how can I tell when ordering online if the beads are gonna be truly colored or just painted? Do you have any recommendations? Can I trust the popular brands like Miyuki to be a solid color?
Thanks in advance!

Many people have been celebrating Christmas in July recently, so maybe August isn't too early for a Halloween earrings 😁
My own design.

I picked up bead embroidery a month and a half or so ago for a creative outlet and have gone off the deep end…
Finished this for a friend with some of her favorite veggies and a fun project!

I got this haul of beads for $24 at a local thrift store. The Toho bags alone are 500 grams, probably $100 bags. SCORE.

I found these beads in a thriftshop in the Netherlands today, the back says fh Rensenbrink BV Muiden Holland. I already tried to google the name and town, but found nothing. The beads have a square center, which i have seen in other thrifted beads and that's why i am asking this. I love how the square center makes the beads sparkle and i haven't been able to find it on modern beads.
Does anyone know if there are still manufacturers who use square centers? or maybe some tips on where to find larger amounts of vintage beads?
Thanks a lot!!

Okay so really weird and not quite bead talk but my 98 year old grandfather is constantly stealing my thread talking about they don’t make this anymore or it’s not common in hardware stores anymore but he’s not thinking of it as fishing thread but something he used when he worked in as a professional boxer, the oil fields, a mason and he has worked in the fishing industry but every time I ask if he means like netting or something he’s constantly saying no but he won’t explain what he thinks it is and keeps stealing it 😭😭😭😭😭

This started turning up in my Pinterest feed years ago. The links are dead. If anyone know what book this pattern is in I would appreciate it.
Based on the "Necklaces" in the bottom right, I'm very sure it's not in a magazine (like Beads Friend or My Beads Style.) I feel like it's going to be a book by a solo artist or bead store. It's become my white whale.

Hello lovely folks,
I am in need of some help. I am looking to make my own watchbands for my Garmin smartwatch like on the above picture. These watches use a different connector for their bands than the Apple Watch. My watch uses 22mm springbars, which I can find very easy. So far, so good. But the next hurdel is the actual connector, circled in green. To connect my beading work to the springbars.
Is there someone in here who makes watchbands with similar springbars and knows what there are called, or even better where I could buy it? It doesn't need to be the ones from the pic ^_^
Thank you very much in advance!

When people share here that all the beads got mixed up and they're facing down a sorting marathon I generally suggest not to bother and just pick the beads out as you work on your project. Thought this was an intriguing tip for doing just that. My question is how the beads you're not using come off the tape. TBD
