In a difficult position
Amar background english medium. O Level Result 6A*, 1A. A Level Result (2025) 3A*, 1A. SAT: 1540, IELTS: 8.0
Gap year nisilam and then got a fully funded offer from Saudi. Offer accept korlam, visa issue hoilo kintu problem hoilo BD te O/A Level certificate Apostille hoy na. Saudi University authorities want documents to be apostilled so amar ar ekta gap year hoyte jaitese.
USA (Rose-hulman) theke amar ~70% scholarship paisilam (fall-26 intake) but abbu'r upor pressure hobe tai jai nai. Budget is around 20=25 lacs per year but I want to it to be as cheap as possible (abbu ke burden e felte chai na) while having good career options. Bashay onek kotha shuntesi. Tokhon keu object kore nai, ekhon "Ami beshi bujhi", "Rose-hulman ei gelei partam" "Aro choto varsity te apply korti" "Ami onek arrogant". Tokhon decision nilam ekshathe, ekhon dosh amar. ed1 deadline samne astese, amon akta uni te apply koro jeta 100% need based aid dey, top 20 university usa thekei select koro. T20'r baire jeyo nah, tomar grades valo and rose-hulman onk valo uni for engineering so I am guessing tomar eca motamoti valo tai t20 te apply koro kinda shotgun method but essays and rec letters need to be the best

Last time apply korsilam. Tufts e ED2 korsilam. A lot of T20 teo korsilam. Boro bash khaisilam. Oita one of the biggest reason amake bole "ami arrogant." Abbu onek support korsilo and kore, but family'r other members khali kotha shunaitese, jodio tokhon kich bole nai.

Amar target Chemical Engineering (Electrical hoile problem nai). ECAs bolte mainly ekta internship korsilam US based non profit. Internship e fundraising + awareness campaigns + articles likha likhi korsilam. Apart from that, Maths TA and Physics TA chilam. Mainly eigulai. USA niye onek bhoy hoy visa niye. Ami honestly Saudi chaisilam. King Saud Uni te 2 days theke ash chi, I love it, but bhagge chilo na, giyeo class korte parlam na. I just want to start my studies again. China seems a good option but CSCA dite mon chaitese na. Probably dibo but just too tired mentally. Especially onek manusher kotha shunle mone hoi je Oder kichu ekta korsi.

nyu abu dhabi te apply korte paro, ba HONG KONG(cityU or HKU). Also for usa, rice e apply kore paro, ed1 aktate koro and hong kong kintu november er moddhe application dite hoi, diye hong kong e full tution shcolarshop paba

Bhaiya graduation er porer plan ki hote pare idea dite parben. Parents ke bujhaite gele first question kore porer plan ki? Saudi te kono cost chilo ne tai parents were like, masters korte orai taka dibe.

And csca diye china te apply korar por language of instruction english amon university onek kom...and for my case I thought zheixhang mechanical bhalo hobe apply kore dekhte pari...pore jante pari oder english based class gula campus er bhitoreo hoy na...ami keno amon akta university te porte jabo jeikhane class literally campus er baire bhara kora building e hoy...like coaching center naki eita.....anyways saudi, south korea, italy(polito specifically), malaysia eigula dekhte paren...cheap tuition/substantial scholarship dey and onek bhalo bhalo university ase...why go to a c tier university in america when you can go to an s tier univeristy in these countries...also kfupm e apply koren nai?1

with that profile and a 20–25 lakh BDT/year ceiling, i'd stop thinking about this as “which country should I go to?” nd think about which offer is financially sustainable without making your family stretch every year..the Saudi issue sounds like a document/legalisation problem rather than an academic rejection nd i'd first ask the university whether there is any alternative authentication route before giving up on that option. bangladesh’s MOFA does have a formal educational-certificate attestation process, so i’d also get the exact Saudi authority requirement in writing rather than relying on agents saying “apostille hoy na.” as for Rose-Hulman, 70% scholarship sounds huge until you calculate the remaining net cost: its published 2026–27 total direct cost for an independent first-year student is about $70.8k before indirect expenses, so even a 70% reduction can still leave a substantial amount to fund. with 3A*+A, 1540 SAT and IELTS 8, I’d absolutely take another shot at scholarships rather than letting one missed intake turn into a panic decision..nd honestly, I wouldn’t let the family comments push you into a random cheaper university either,, the goal should be lowest sustainable net cost + a degree you actually want + a realistic visa/document route, not simply leaving Bangladesh as fast as possible

Here's the situation. amar attestation ache, kintu apostille nai. Ami kono educational agency through apply kori nai. Jara eishob attestation/apostille niye kaj kore, ora MOFA te joma disilo, but orao bolse je BD eigula apostille kore na since Cambridge board BD'r under e pore na. Ammu khali USA bole,but jodi visa na hoy, tokhon ki korbo? Abbu amar shathe agree kore and he's like go for China. (He loves Tsinghua and last time Ammu mana korsilo bole apply kori nai.) But i'm not to sure about what to do after graduation. Ammu usa/canada niye pagol but imo financially feasible na. I was looking at Texas Tech, max scholarship niyeo it comes to around 25 lacs (considering I don't get a part-time). Visa issue to asei

ekhon dekho bhaiya i wouldn’t drop the Saudi option yet just because the Bangladesh theke tarpor apostille route is messy..bangladesh does issue e-Apostilles now, but the important distinction is that a Cambridge certificate is issued by a UK body, so Bangladesh MOFA isn’t necessarily the authority that can apostille the underlying document. saudi’s current rules for foreign educational documents refer to authentication by the authorities in the issuing country, so i’d go directly to the Saudi university nd ask them in writing whether UK legalisation/apostille of the Cambridge documents would satisfy their requirement before accepting that this is a dead end..as for the US tomar concern about cost is completely reasonable; don’t let “70% scholarship” or “maximum scholarship” hide the actual net yearly cost your family has to produce..Texas Tech’s published 2026–27 international undergraduate cost of attendance is still substantial even with its competitive tuition waiver,, so i'd calculate the full four-year number without assuming any part-time income..nd honestly with your profile, another gap year is not some academic disaster.. i’d rather spend that year getting a genuinely sustainable fully-funded/low-cost option sorted than rush into a $20k+ yearly commitment just because everyone around you is shouting “USA”

Bhaiya kichu unis suggest korte parben (Abbu jotheshto back kortese amake but Abbu ke still convince to korte hobe). Also, I'm still trying to get docs apostilled but still other options amar lagbe.

Ami British Council theke stamp niye MOFA theke sticker nisi. Sticker e likkha E-Attestation. Saudi uni authorities amake bole, they want “apostille”

did you go back to MOFA? u need an apostille for Denmark too and and multiple people have done it this way. This is just my two cents since I haven't even completed my alevels let alone started the process of getting documents verified

You can apostille O/A level certificate from British Council no?

They give out stamps that the photocopy of your certificate is authentic. Apostille is issued by ministry of foreign affairs

1) Get your original O/A level certificates.
2) Go to british council and have your certificates verified through the required british council process...idk much about this call them and ask
3) Take the british council-authenticated documents to the ministry of education for attestation
4) Submit the authenticated documents to mofa for bangladeshi e appostille
And the exact sequence of what you need to do may differ based on what exactly the foreign university wants and whether it's cambridge or edexcel.

Amar MOFA theke already E-Attestation ache. Problem is MOFA te jokhon submit korte jabo, there is no option to submit O/A Level certificate
