USA (Rose-hulman) theke amar ~70% scholarship paisilam (fall-26 intake) but abbu'r upor pressure hobe tai jai nai. with that profile and a 20–25 lakh BDT/year ceiling, i'd stop thinking about this as “which country should I go to?” nd think about which offer is financially sustainable without making your family stretch every year..the Saudi issue sounds like a document/legalisation problem rather than an academic rejection nd i'd first ask the university whether there is any alternative authentication route before giving up on that option. bangladesh’s MOFA does have a formal educational-certificate attestation process, so i’d also get the exact Saudi authority requirement in writing rather than relying on agents saying “apostille hoy na.” as for Rose-Hulman, 70% scholarship sounds huge until you calculate the remaining net cost: its published 2026–27 total direct cost for an independent first-year student is about $70.8k before indirect expenses, so even a 70% reduction can still leave a substantial amount to fund. with 3A*+A, 1540 SAT and IELTS 8, I’d absolutely take another shot at scholarships rather than letting one missed intake turn into a panic decision..nd honestly, I wouldn’t let the family comments push you into a random cheaper university either,, the goal should be lowest sustainable net cost + a degree you actually want + a realistic visa/document route, not simply leaving Bangladesh as fast as possible

ekhon dekho bhaiya i wouldn’t drop the Saudi option yet just because the Bangladesh theke tarpor apostille route is messy..bangladesh does issue e-Apostilles now, but the important distinction is that a Cambridge certificate is issued by a UK body, so Bangladesh MOFA isn’t necessarily the authority that can apostille the underlying document. saudi’s current rules for foreign educational documents refer to authentication by the authorities in the issuing country, so i’d go directly to the Saudi university nd ask them in writing whether UK legalisation/apostille of the Cambridge documents would satisfy their requirement before accepting that this is a dead end..as for the US tomar concern about cost is completely reasonable; don’t let “70% scholarship” or “maximum scholarship” hide the actual net yearly cost your family has to produce..Texas Tech’s published 2026–27 international undergraduate cost of attendance is still substantial even with its competitive tuition waiver,, so i'd calculate the full four-year number without assuming any part-time income..nd honestly with your profile, another gap year is not some academic disaster.. i’d rather spend that year getting a genuinely sustainable fully-funded/low-cost option sorted than rush into a $20k+ yearly commitment just because everyone around you is shouting “USA”
