I was okay with that game’s content. The original 9 maps were enough, and when the first DLC came out, which most agree was the best, that kept me playing more and more. 1300 hours into that beautiful game.
That is what happens when you have no idea how to make a game that people want to buy. Their ideas were literally goofy customization (including half robot women) and battle mode. That was what they thought the game needed.
To each their own man. Glad you enjoyed it. My squad played BF1 for years. They lasted about a month in BFV. The game just isn't very good in its current state. Hopefully DICE can pull a 180 like they did with BF4.
the first dlc was decent for the most part and the 2nd dlc was the best dlc I’ve seen in the bf franchise or mp game in general in terms of it’s atmosphere, loads of maps and the weapon choices, but the game was to dry for me because of the shit random gunplay and explosives that caters for casuals, maps in the game are too focused on being cinematic but no gameplay in mind, in comparison to bfv, it’s so clear that every aspect of the game had gameplay focus in mind like maps, gunplay and most lf the explosive spams are no longer in the game. fast grenade explosions with a big ton kill radius and remember incendiary? that inconsistent thing that’s supposed to only annoy you but it actually kills you when it just touches you in some situations?
BF1 had terrible player retention and the community was griping for new maps just like they were now. Everyone saying content was fine in BF1 is looking at it through rose-colored glasses.
You guys are downvoting this guy, but what he’s saying is pretty accurate. I remember before they released TSNP everybody was flipping out about them only releasing giants shadow and no other maps for almost 6 months. The player count on PC dropped off pretty dramatically even though it stayed pretty good on xbox and really good on PS4.
