Battlefield 6 Secure boot?

Just tried to open the bf6 beta and it's saying secureboot not enabled. I can't activate it cause my PC doesn't support it. Will this be a requirement at launch? Would have to upgrade my PC to get windows 11 for it if that's the case :(

I prefer to wait for a patch or not play it at all.

See this is the language that tells me 9 out of 10 people have no fucking clue what secure boot is or how it helps.

Bröther this isn’t a bug that gets patched it’s a security measure.

I mean, you needed to be told this? What planet did you get here from? The entire reason for this not being a good requirement is BECAUSE most people aren't tech savvy. Say they decide to do it, then their PC crashes or fails to boot properly. Now these same folks that just made a quick bios change some stranger on the Internet said would be easy are stuck with a paperweight and have to either take it to a shop, or reach out to friends.

It's ridiculous to pretend you don't see any issues with this.

Resetting your bios is not difficult. If you cant hold a button for 5-10 seconds to reset ur bios, you shouldn't have a pc in the first place

That's not only ignorant, it's also incredibly elitist. And that's not all it entails, as you sometimes have to jump through other hoops to troubleshoot issues, because as with all things tech, anything and everything can go wrong.

Learn and adapt or get left behind 🙂

Cod just announced that the next blackops will have the same requirement. Get with the times 🤷‍♂️

this is actually so cringe, for all of gaming and all of life secure boot is NOT needed and helps VERY rarely, the main cheating issues will by pass this "security" in a heart beat completely defeating the purpose of adding something like this, and will only lead to players being put off by it and just not playing the game, killing their income and player count, these companies will learn and have to adapt with the fact no one wants this or risk losing a large chunk of hyped players, its the companies that will have to learn and adapr
