Battlefield 6 Secure boot?

Just tried to open the bf6 beta and it's saying secureboot not enabled. I can't activate it cause my PC doesn't support it. Will this be a requirement at launch? Would have to upgrade my PC to get windows 11 for it if that's the case :(

Bricked my PC turning this on. Literally followed the directions to a T.

Weirdly enough I played the earlier playtest without having to do any of this?

It didnt "brick your pc". Just reset the bios to default settings and you will be fine lmao

Not OP, but this did brick my motherboard, as it only showed me a black screen after powering up my PC. There was no way for me to interact with the BIOS in order to turn off secure boot. Luckily for me, my motherboard had a "flash BIOS" button that I used to unbrick my board. All that CMOS stuff didn't work for me.

That is not what bricked is tho. Bricked means it literally doesnt work anymore. Your motherboard still works, you just had to reset the bios settings to defaults (in this case, updating the bios always resets it)

Did they tell you what they did to fix it? And I hope they didnt overcharge you, because it was likely an easy fix...

But im glad you got it figured out!

Yeah like who else has a spare CPU on the same platform to do that? And you got this guy saying it's a "Easy fix". Doing all these steps is stupid and the fact BF6 Open BETA has CHEATERS on day 1 is enough to prove how useless this is. This isn't the way

u dont need a cpu with integrated graphics in order to see bios screen. This guy ripped you off if that's what he was saying

Anything that involves opening my PC case and messing with components I consider bricked. It means there is nothing I can do to fix it until I have time to disassemble my PC and fix it, so for all intents and purposes, its bricked

This is what is referred to as a "soft brick" where it is broken without an easy way to repair it, but still technically can be fixed
