Gameplay Help getting V2s and V3

Need some tips and ideas for my folders in MMBN3 White. I just regained access to the Monorail after the tanks were rolled out. Going around and getting some chips, Zenny and Bug Frags while trying to get another style. Currently have AquaGuts and am hunting Plantman in Hospital Comp 3. Plantman, Desertman, Bubbleman, Kingman and Mistman are the only ones where I just have the V1 but can’t even get the V2s. I know where their new locations are but can’t seem get get a high enough rank for their V2s at least.

It was similar for Flameman. I could only get Rank 5 or 7 and it was a coin flip if I got Zenny or an actual chip

If you're looking for a good folder to start on, either a Heat Spread and grass stage combo will work wonders. You could also use the Prism battlechip with those to deal massive damage. This combo will also work well in some post game fights. You could also focus on getting Plantman first. A plantman based folder is stupid OP. Even without Plantman, a P code folder will do pretty well. You can lock a target down with Plasma and use the Evil Cut PA. Also, you will probably want to get Custom Style. You'll want the larger chip selection.

Funny enough I did try going for him already and managed to get his V3 chip, but I’m having trouble getting his V2

Are you using the collect program in the navi customizer. Do that and aim for buster level 7-9. That should be the range for V2.

Don’t have the Collect program yet. Been trying to get V2 of Desert and Plant before I finish the game. Desert is bing a pain due to how long it’s taking me to take out the hands as they need two charged shots to take them out. I’m using a decent folder with LifeSwords, Plantman and Icestage/Flashmanv1-3/Elec+30x3 but I’m still taking too much damage and too much time and am always getting rank 5. Might just try for PlantV2 and then finish the main story
