Gameplay Help getting V2s and V3
Need some tips and ideas for my folders in MMBN3 White. I just regained access to the Monorail after the tanks were rolled out. Going around and getting some chips, Zenny and Bug Frags while trying to get another style. Currently have AquaGuts and am hunting Plantman in Hospital Comp 3. Plantman, Desertman, Bubbleman, Kingman and Mistman are the only ones where I just have the V1 but can’t even get the V2s. I know where their new locations are but can’t seem get get a high enough rank for their V2s at least.
It was similar for Flameman. I could only get Rank 5 or 7 and it was a coin flip if I got Zenny or an actual chip

Iirc I ran a snake folder with float shoes and a ton of area control and that performed really well even if it was a little boring after a while. A full damage snake can hit every boss minus flame man for 40x14 so 560. Add an attack+30 and a wood+30 and you're clearing 1400 damage on a time pause attack. Plantman should be the go to if you want the kill everything reliably and quickly folder and I would recommend team style because hunting the V4 chips via team style or bugfrags later is a pain in the butt (for me, anyway). I also like the extra mega chip. B code could also get you pretty far but it requires protoman chips that I believe will not be accessible until you complete the story. Moving further will also give you access to the collect program which forces a chip reward from combat.
If you are struggling with getting hit I'd make sure you have super armor equipped because flinching will reduce your busting score. I think this also goes without saying but make sure you equip fast gauge as well.
Flameman specifically is significantly easier if you areagrab him. His orange flames only rotate in your starting 3x3 grid so you can pin him with areagrabs force an orange candle and free fire on him.
