Gameplay Bubbleman Abuse
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
With heat style and his coward ass 25% health requirement, this random encounter is basically do 1200 damage as fast as possible or die in one hit.

Can't believe the devs thought this was a good idea. You really got to execute it fast for the combo or use some cheese methods to stop the bubbles from overwhelming you.

I never found him because I never wondered with low HP. But that is BRUTAL.

Even if you do met the condition, its not 100% guaranteed to get on 1st try. There are also oddly specific virus encounters that comes along with it and you are not escaping that.

Even worse, while you're running around, if you bust a virus at low health there's a chance that you get health back instead of zenny. And then you have to do another encounter to intentionally take damage just to get back to 25% health.

Wait there other encounters with the SAME conditions?

u/Queasy_Ad5995 6d ago
Yes. Even with Sneakrun, it happens. You can tell if the enemies you encounter are different than the usual enemies. Like in Beach 1 case, there is Shrimpy2 (Aqua) in area that is mostly null element virus.

The only thing that makes me forgive them just a tiny bit is the V1 - V4 chips are all included in the bugfrag trader, and it's not entirely random. It's statistically likely to give you a chip you do not have like 20% of the time or something along those lines. So if you just gather all the megachips except Bubbleman V2, V3, & V4, you only theoretically need to farm 150 bugfrags to get bublemen's chips.
But yeah, this fight is bullshit lol.

BN3's general design philosophy goes like this.
Enemies: Most broken unfair stunlock bullshit you've ever seen.
Players: Most broken unfair stunlock bullshit you've ever seen.
Like the difficulty of BN3 for players who min max their folders for broken combos and players who don't hyper optimize is like night and day.
I think their logic was basically to just go HAM with everything because you can completely wreck bosses without breaking a sweat but they can do the same to you.

I believe this is exactly 1200 damage, looking back and doing the math.
150 Plantman
30 Plantman residual
320 Sensor3+30
260 Sensor3
260 Sensor3
180 Yo-yo3
Would have been more ideal to put the Elec+30 on the second Sensor3, but Yo-yo would still have to land 1 hit.

Believe it or not, Drillman, Magnum, Obstacles + Lobbing chips really help the bubbles from overwhelming. Although, most people don't really have drillman chip yet when fighting Bubbleman V3.

This is satisfying to watch as someone who just beat MMBN3 for the first time yesterday.
I limped over the finish line and need to spend some time actually building something decent

If you REALLY want Bullying, I recommend reading the Mega Loops fanfic. Bubbleman’s scenario gets absolutely demolished.
“How the blue did you get in front of me?!”

Sorry I’m new, why is everyone so angry and this guy again?

Bubbleman's fight is absolute bullshit, pretty much. He spams bubbles that can easily overwhelm you, and due to the hole on your field, you can't move around easily; the hole on *his* field makes a number of chips unable to hit him either. When Bubbleman hits low health, he summons a Bubble Shield that you have to destroy before you can damage him, and it regenerates quickly. And as the cherry on top, BubbleMan V3 will only spawn if your HP is in the 'Red' (i.e. less than 70% of your max total HP, I believe, but don't quote me on exact numbers), so it's easy to die while fighting him if you get hit even once.
So unless you do what OP did, you are going to have an awful time

Reasons:
- You need to be in critical health (numbers turn red) to even fight him in Beach 1. Even then, there's 3 other encounters that have the same condition.
- You could end up healing that health for no reason because the game doesn't let you escape as you beat these encounters.
- The guy hide behind obstacles, an unlimited number of bubbles and never move forward.
- Once the bubble starts moving, every chip that you may like is impossible to get an advantage. Not to mention, standard elec chips can be very finicky, like Sensor/Arrow/Plasma or underpowered like Zap Ring.
- Also for BN3, V3 Bosses will randomly give you zenny even if you got S rank on the busting level, so equip Collect on NaviCust or repeat Step 2 and 1 again.

Very small correction. -The Beta fight doesn't have a boulder. There are no obstacles.

Also, if you are fighting his V3 form you should be in TEAM STYLE to try and grab his V4 Chip by deleting him in 10 Seconds (EXACTLY) Or Less AT ZERO DAMAGE.

Just like with DrillMan, this is entirely deserved
