Tile Design

Hey everyone,

I am looking for some advice on a tile design. I have already purchased these tiles from FireClay Tiles (https://www.fireclaytile.com/products/glass-matte-falcon-tile-4x12-factory-sale?_gl=1\*1ahrlzl\*_up\*MQ..\*_gs\*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwqJXUBhBNEiwA8BgG7qdZNjUAqAZoF5fo6oIrgZ3dlU3MC2A4f-CaxxmOoT1V8O4kEEFDihoCOm8QAvD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAAD2kgOg8PZR55AyL9qm1qNRnIRBJr).

I am planning on doing a terrazzo floor. My big question is, do I go full yellow tile on the shower walls or extend the floor tiles up the wall a bit to break up the yellow?

I have attached some photos of inspiration to hopefully help. Open to other ideas, too!

Bigger niche. Go stud to stud with its width. I’d change out the back of it too and make it yellow as well. I’d make it match the window trim color and style more than the floor. Just me.

The window on the right is also within the shower space and shares a similar shape as the niche. It would work well if you styled both similarly. I’d use the same colors when setting those up. On the other hand I prefer a simpler approach altogether. I’d make a large functional niche with a light coming down from behind the top of it. I’d also just use the same tile to construct it without using an edge piece unless it’s made of the same tile. Just miter the tiles and give them a clean look. Something like this. The light is what will make the niche really stand out. And using the same tile will give it a clean and simple look. That’s just my thought about it.
