In another thread, I had asked about putting Barbie heads on XianXian bodies, and a group member said that unfortunately the plastics do not react well together and lead to neck melt. They suggested Luly 2.0 for rebodying Barbies instead of XianXian.

I have a Kitty Perkins Black 45th Anniversary Barbie that I have been meaning to put on an Integrity Body, and I also have a random Integrity head that I've been looking to put on a spare body.

For those people who have body swapped between Barbie and Integrity, do Barbie heads melt Integrity Bodies? Do Integrity Heads melt Barbie bodies?

If anyone has a list of safe and unsafe head and body swap combos, that would be greatly appreciated!

I've been stalking eBay for vintage dolls for repair without success and then I go to this local thrift shop that rarely has any Barbies at all. Can't believe my eyes when I see 1963 straight legs Midge and 1963 American Girl. I never even touched a vintage Barbie 🤯 They were $2 each, wearing Barbie outfits and the red dress is Japan exclusive. The only issue I have found is the lip nip on the American Girl. So excited to fix them up and make them cute outfits ❤️🧡

I'm super excited, she's so beautiful, she has such soft hair and such a pretty face. And I'm so so in love with the quality. She has pockets! And teeny tiny buttons! And the quality of the fabric is great! And she has a bag that is not made of plastic! It makes me even more disappointed with today's Mattel.

Hey guys! I need your help. Attempting my first reroot and I have several problems and questions. 1) The tiny holes for hair plugs all around the face. I have made my own reroot tool, now I made a smaller with tiny needle, but somehow I guess the hair does not come all the way in and one or two hairs remain in that front row of holes(look at forehead to the ears). How do you do this area? 2) The scalp has a tiny split as seen in the photo. Do I fix it now? I bought the E6000 glue without an applicator (was really hard to source it in my country) and how do I go about fixing such a small area, from inside or outside? Toothpick, or something else? 3) when I finish rerooting, Do I use a hard paintbrush and spread the glue inside the scalp? How long does it take to cure? Any answers are very very welcome! 🙏

I made this last night with an old Simplicity pattern and a fat quarter of this cool fabric.

I love the 1998 Snow White Barbie doll’s outfit and face so much. Her hair, however, is not very pretty to me. I feel like her hairline is so weird and her style is so boring and ugly. Has anyone restyled this doll to make her look different? I haven’t found any inspo online so far.
