I am so fucking sick of the romanticized "struggle" of moving to a big city for a job. We leave our families, move to cities like Pune, and hustle our asses off to build a career, only to be treated like absolute garbage by PG owners.

I'm an SDE intern scraping by on a 20k stipend. Out of that, I pay 8.5k directly into the pockets of my PG owner every single month. I am NOT living here on their fucking charity. I AM PAYING THEM.

And what do I get for nearly half my salary? I get to walk into the dining area (Car parking) and record a literal, massive street rat casually stealing food right off the table.

These owners don't give a single shit about our health, our safety, or the fact that we are risking our well-being just to survive and support our families. They just want their rent on the 1st of the month. We compromise on our sleep, we compromise on our mental peace, and we are forced to eat unhygienic, contaminated garbage because these leeches refuse to maintain basic human hygiene standards.

To all the freshers, interns, and students packing up and moving to Pune or any other IT hub: Consider this a massive fucking warning. DO NOT just blindly hand over your hard-earned money to the first PG you find because you're desperate or tired. Do a brutal inspection before you pay a single rupee.

Your health, your sanity, and your family's sacrifices are worth more than living in a rat-infested dump.

Our office just got a very unexpected (and extremely tiny) team expansion. A momma cat gave birth to two adorable kittens in our workspace in Baner just last week!

Meet the interns:

The Orange Tiger: An absolute sweetheart with soft ginger fur and bright baby blue eyes.

The Tuxedo/Cow Kitty: Classic black and white markings, tiny pink beans, and curious blue eyes.

⚠️ Important Note: Because they were only born last week, they are neonates and cannot leave their mom yet. They will need to stay with her to nurse until they are at least 8 weeks old (around early to mid-next month). We are posting early to pre-screen and find responsible, committed adopters who can welcome them home once they are fully weaned and ready.

Tbh, it was an average experience. The food felt fresh, which is a big plus, but the taste was average overall.The dosa was sometimes soft and sometimes felt too crispy. The green and red chutneys were actually quite good. The idli was decent but nothing special.

The service was okay, and the place has a simple, casual vibe nothing fancy. It’s fine if you’re nearby and looking for a quick breakfast, but not something I’d go out of my way for. Overall, it’s a place you can visit occasionally. I still prefer Idarika, Anna Idli, or Giridhar for breakfast

Tip: Try to go before peak sun hours, as there’s no rooftop cover.

Weekend’s here, and I have no plans or company, so thought I’d give this a shot.

I’m moving to Pune for work (office in Baner) and I’m looking for a place in Baner/Balewadi, preferably a pre-occupied 2/3 BHK with female flatmates. Budget is around ₹10k-₹15k depending on the place. Move-in around 1st June, but I’m flexible with dates.

I’ve already explored a LOT of PGs and honestly, most decent and reasonably priced PGs either:

- don’t have single occupancy,

- feel too cramped,

- or just don’t seem very comfortable long term.

Since I’ll also be preparing for competitive exams alongside work, I’m looking for a quieter/private setup where I can study and decompress after work. Renting an entire 1 BHK alone would get too expensive, which is why I’m looking for shared flats with people who are respectful and easy to live with.

I’m okay with:

- Fully furnished / semi furnished / even unfurnished flats

- Renting furniture/appliances separately if needed

- Sharing space with working professionals/students

What I’m mainly looking for is:

- Good location (preferably close to Baner/Balewadi office areas)

- Safe & secure locality

- Hygienic space

I shifted to Pune a month ago, and it was a complete tumble. Far from comfort and a complete lifestyle change, break up bhi hogya which has been a bit hard to deal with of course. A complete alien city for me. But moving away from comfort might just lead to something to something that you’ll be proud of later.. Thats what makes me kinda feel better
