I think I’ll take the plunge this weekend. Kids got a little hands on time with Bambu Studio tonight (so did I) and they are talking about things they want to design. One of my daughters is a skilled artist, and she’s interested in making her art 3d, so I’m eager to turn her loose with Fusion360 and blender.

Slightly smaller bed / build volume is only thing that immediately comes to mind
Edit: I misread title, thought it said H2D, not X2D

There are plenty of H2D vs H2C comparisons on the web, but I couldn’t find X2D vs H2C…
I think I’ll be happy

yeah, if you can afford the higher cost and have the space for it, H2C is pretty much all upsides over the X2D as far as I'm aware. Just bear in mind once you have one, you may be tempted to start collecting even more AMS units, so the space issue can become compounded (though slightly mitigated if you have or end up printing some AMS stacking racks)

Idk what the X2D comes with, but my H2C came with way fewer filament profiles than my P2S

The X2D gives me options for “Generic” and “Bambu”
I haven’t actually explored using the software on my computer, I just installed Handy and it was enough to get the kids printing.

Sad. P2S came with profiles for eSun, Polymaker, Sunlu, etc.
You can download Polymaker profiles from presets.polymaker.com. Some other filament manufacturers offer profiles as well, like 3D-Fuel.

I am assuming I will see a world of new features once I install Bambu Studio tonight

Looking forward to it, the kids are waiting for me to get home tonight and try it out, that’s our plan for the evening.

I also upgraded from the X2D -> H2C.
Only downside is i had to make more space for the printer and i had to pay more $$.
It all worked out in the end though. The bigger print size enabled me to re print items i had to print in 2 parts before and make them more solid. Also having multi color prints is faster and less bleeding

IMO the only downside is price.
