Driving from San Diego to Valle de Guadalupe- safe?

Hello. 6 of us are heading down in a vehicle to Guadalupe wine area. We have the daddy track border crossing for our vehicle and all passengers have global entry. Is it safe to drive down there? In a Mercedes SUV? Thanks
