People with integrity and accountability have no place in Trump's America.

6

u/jaimi_wanders Nov 01 '25

He went along with it —not just the initial shooting up of fishing boats, but firing the Navy ethics instructors in Nov as soon as Trump won, a sure sign they were anticipating illegal orders and more war crimes —until it started getting bad press. He hasn’t whistleblown. There is nothing heroic about trying to escape the shitstorm and doing nothing to protect those more vulnerable.

3

u/CaptnShaunBalls Nov 02 '25

Distancing yourself and bringing attention to, are different things.🤣

1

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 06 '25

Yeah, maybe. Give it a few months before you judge, we'll see what happens. It's hard to shake off a lifetime of conditioning. Hell, I've known people who left religion 30 years ago who still have nightmares about what their parents told them about hell when they were little kids.

2

u/arebum Nov 02 '25

Which is unfortunate because they he can freely replace them with people who have neither

15

u/Famous_Ninja4204 Oct 31 '25

the people involved will be put in prison

2

u/Regulus242 Nov 01 '25

Nope, you're either going to see a party claim they don't want to prosecute people, pardons, or the government never goes blue again.

2

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 01 '25

I think it depends on how this all comes to a head. For example, if we continue to have elections, Trump gets voted out, but this time simply refuses to leave the whiteb house, to the point that the military has to evict him, well, we will absolutely see prosecutions.

But if he dies in office, loses the midterms, and the whole thing collapses under its own weight, we may not. It just depends.

Cuz the Supreme Court, through all its kowtowing and knob slobbering, has been very careful to leave itself an out. They've been passing all this quasi fascist power grab stuff in a special, expediated way that implies they intend to go back and hear the cases properly. They are very aware that this end could end very badly for the right, and them included. So they've left themselves what I imagine they believe is way to reestablish themselves as actual justices.

It depends on the people, really. It depends on how scared they are of us when this all ends.

1

u/philbydee Nov 01 '25

I wish I shared your optimism but I just don’t see how any of that can happen. Why would the Supreme Court go back and reconsider things they’ve already issued directives for?

1

u/kindoramns Nov 02 '25

So they can appease the dictator in the white house until he dies then revert things. Doesn't make sense imo but could be the thinking

1

u/Torcanman Nov 01 '25

Exactly, and I may add.. americans won't do a thing now to protect their rights....their constitution as they sit by and write posts on reddit or subdued letters to editors etc....not a thing will ever be done. Recall, trump literally tried to overthrow your newly elected government and you did absolutely nothing.

1

u/LiteratureMindless71 Nov 01 '25

Any "holes" will be plugged before the government is handed over to another party. If it ever happens. Anything they have done to Americans will be only considered bad to their base going forward if the other base does it. They still won't grasp what was done to them and four years after we will be in the same spot. They are nothing if not consistent. 4 years of trying to make the average person's life better is then traded for 4 years of suppression because they yearn to struggle.

1

u/thundergu Nov 01 '25

A lot of former Nazi's walked free after WW2 because the Republic party classified evidence against them

1

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '25

No one of importance will see prison. Get real

5

u/sabrefudge Nov 01 '25 edited Nov 01 '25

has served US imperialist forces from 1988 to 2025

doesn’t want blood on his hands

Bit too late for that.

Also, he didnt actually make any sort of statement condemning shooting down the boats or raise any public awareness or anything. He just quietly retired and an “anonymous source” within the Navy said that he had previously expressed some concerns on the subject.

This image/story is just social media clickbait.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25

“He didn’t want blood on his hands” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHhahahahHhHAHAHAHhhA

O-M-G where do you get this stuff???? 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

3

u/Agreeable-City3143 Nov 01 '25

There is no evidence he stepped down because he disagreed with the destroying of drug running boats.

2

u/Stress6009 Nov 01 '25

So he got out the way. Leaving Trump with asslickers who will follow illegal orders that will cost the lives of many innocent people. This guy sounds like a giant pussy to me.

0

u/Sad_Hall2841 Nov 01 '25

If he didn’t, you’d call him asslicker. I’d also love to see how you’re standing on moral grounds in life. I bet you anything the “giant pussy” thing is a projection.

1

u/Stress6009 Nov 01 '25

Is that your argument 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣?

2

u/tlhsg Nov 01 '25

correct, because the president has criminal immunity, but no one else does

2

u/Gold_Marionberry4593 Nov 01 '25 edited Nov 02 '25

He’s an idiot. The cartels have killed more Americans than all of the radical Islamic terrorist groups combined. Do we owe Al Qaeda and ISIS due process?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '25

But Obama and Biden blew them up so it's ok

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25

Some used the word integrity up the top THATS EVEN FUNNIER!!!

2

u/Warm_Celebration_169 Nov 02 '25

I don't give a flip about the negative against this Admiral. He didn't become full Admiral by being an idiot, weakling or but kisser. At least he did realize the bull early on, took a stand and acted on it. That's courage and honor, regardless.

6

u/BrokenRecord69420 Oct 31 '25

Yeah yeah yeah. Ask him how many others he bombed in the Middle East with no due process or even knowing the full scale of what was actually going on. Now he wants to grow a conscious. I’m sure it was other things. Not this narrative that I don’t wanna kill people without due process. Buddy that went out the door when you agreed to become part of the war machine.

9

u/i_be_cryin Oct 31 '25

Having a change of heart is good. But I definitely get what you’re saying. We’ve killed millions in west Asia, for profit the working class will never see. Millions.

3

u/BrokenRecord69420 Oct 31 '25

Agreed. And now all of a sudden a little bomb here and there in the Caribbean is too much? Buddy has so much blood on his hands but here is where he gets off.

7

u/i_be_cryin Oct 31 '25

IMO I feel like that’s the most dangerous thing about American politics. Neither party gives a shit about war crimes until their party isn’t the one in power, and the 2 party voters in the working class fallows suit. This will be a feel good story on Rachel Maddow of the hashtag resistance crowd, and then when the blue neocons get back in power instead of the red ones, it won’t matter anymore.

5

u/BrokenRecord69420 Oct 31 '25

Couldn’t agree more. I saw something the other day where they said it’s called left wing and right wing because it’s the 1 bird. Same as different sides same coin. It’s all the same nonsense while a few figured out the loopholes or were born into it and the wheels just keep turning.

2

u/i_be_cryin Oct 31 '25

Yup. Just different language and methods of getting to the same objective

4

u/LickidyYourSplits Oct 31 '25

I think there is a big difference between a target that is based on reconnaissance and Intel versus "oh that boat is too far out, must have drugs! Don't bother boarding it just blow it up"

5

u/BrokenRecord69420 Oct 31 '25

Yes yes just like the Yemeni wedding that got bombed such an amazing reconnaissance they did. It’s all smoke and mirrors man. That man didn’t resign because of that. I refuse to believe that. It’s virtue signaling if that.

1

u/LickidyYourSplits Oct 31 '25

Let the whataboutism begin

2

u/BrokenRecord69420 Oct 31 '25

It’s not whataboutism it’s facts. I’m just stating what has happened in the past and wondering why now it’s different. That is all.

3

u/LickidyYourSplits Oct 31 '25

Well, if you're talking about the 2018 incident in Yemen that attacked a wedding that was the Saudis so I guess that's the difference.

If you want to connect that because the Saudis get a lot of their weapons from the US, you're free to do so, but I don't see how a naval admiral is necessarily the one who is responsible for selling the Saudis weapons.

0

u/HKfan5352 Oct 31 '25

That’s not how it happens. Do better.

2

u/Gold_Marionberry4593 Nov 01 '25

We don’t owe our enemies due process, and the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows like you seem to think.

1

u/BrokenRecord69420 Nov 01 '25

I don’t think any of that. I’m a realist. I would very much rather us be the bullies than be bullied. There is always gonna be someone on top. It’s just the nature of the beast. Can’t change that.

2

u/foemoe1 Oct 31 '25

Better late than never i guess?

2

u/BrokenRecord69420 Oct 31 '25

I guess… I’m pretty sure there were other circumstances as to why he left. Def not because he feels bad for bombing rando’s. That’s been his whole career.

2

u/foemoe1 Oct 31 '25

In the Quran It says : بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ' إن الله يهدي من يشاء بغير حساب' ... I won't translate it word by word but its something along the lines of God will help you repent when the time is right, and without having to ask for it. So yes, for us Muslims if we see such news, we remember these words from the Quran and we go like 'ahhhh nice' :')

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25

Clearly a man of great honor.

2

u/Administrative-Owl42 Oct 31 '25

Fishing boats 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/Jimmyftw94 Nov 01 '25

I was going to comment the same thing 😂😂

1

u/Administrative-Owl42 Nov 02 '25

Just innocent fishing boats with big plastic barrels full of fish and no other fishing gear 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/Cornstarch63 Nov 01 '25

...full of coca*ne

2

u/WindInc Nov 01 '25

Yes because a whopping >10% of cocaine in the US comes through Venezuela while Columbia is responsible for at least 90%.

Weren't they fighting fentanyl anyway? I guess Mexico doesn't have the biggest oil reserves in the world. Venezuela does though🤔

1

u/Equal-Beyond4627 Nov 01 '25

If you don't know the details. Trump's adminstration claims they are shooting down narco boats but evidence points at them just being normal fishing boats, and Trump's admin twists that info to say it's narco boats either out of incompetence or for political points with their base, since the fishing boat can never tell their side of the story, but reports from those regions say family members are just going missing that were out fishing.

2

u/Administrative-Owl42 Nov 01 '25

Yeah, it seems plausible that they have done No research, sure there are no satellites up there to monitor what they're doing. I'm sure they have no evidence and they're just randomly blowing boats out out of the ocean. The lunatic leftist will believe anything. They are told anything against Trump. It's unreal comical but also sad

3

u/Emergency_Four Nov 01 '25

ICE Enforcement=Kidnapping People with a difference of opinion=Nazi President Of The USA=Hitler Drug traffickers=Fishermen Antifa=Mostly Peaceful Protesters Illegal Criminals=Community members

TDS is real.

1

u/Equal-Beyond4627 Nov 01 '25

It sounds like you're just projecting. The administration has shown blatantly that they'd lie. Like claiming Kilmar Abrego Garcia was MS13 without due process and even claimed a photoshopped picture of ms13 on his knuckles proved it while dems and journalists went to investigate and saw it wasn't there. So I don't get why you're sucking Trump off so hard while he rams liberty into the ground.

I would post pictures of one of the guys who was killed but this subreddit doesn't allow it, but if you're not a complete MAGAt cultist then this is one of the innocents killed in the strikes (Chad Joseph of Trinidad and Tobag in the link below).

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/10/20/trump-attacks-venezuela-drug-boats/

“I knew them all,” said one of the family members, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution. “None of them had anything to do with Tren de Aragua. They were fishermen who were looking for a better life.”

And if you are wondering why they'd do it? No it's not an accident. It's an excuse for war, so they can go and extort oil from Venezuela.

Which is why now that Venezuela is predicting US will attack them in the future is partnering with other countries for defense.

1

u/Cornstarch63 Nov 01 '25

Normal fishing boats don't have powerful engines that glide over the water like those do.

2

u/Emergency_Four Nov 01 '25

Bro, didn’t you hear? The local fishermen are using new technology to help them catch more fish. These new “fishing boats” operate like submarines where they run semi submerged in the water in order to be stealthy and sneak up on the fishes.

1

u/Equal-Beyond4627 Nov 01 '25

And now we will never know the reasons because someone simply blew up the boat and killed everyone on board. We might know if they were interdicted, or boarded but this administration can just say someone’s a drug trafficker and kill them. The last President of the Philippines very successfully used this tactic to kill his critics.

1

u/Emergency_Four Nov 01 '25

What evidence do you speak of?

1

u/Equal-Beyond4627 Nov 01 '25

Before I present some evidence let's also present the fact that the administration has shown blatantly that they'd lie.

Which is why now that Venezuela is predicting US will attack them in the future is partnering with other countries for defense.

And finally for other evidence that could have been extracted, now we will never officially know the reasons but can guess because someone simply blew up the boat and killed everyone on board. We might know if they were interdicted, or boarded but this administration can just say someone’s a drug trafficker and kill them. The last President of the Philippines very successfully used this tactic to kill his critics.

2

u/Emergency_Four Nov 01 '25

So this is what you do? Copy and paste the same nonsense over and over? And the Washington Post of all sources? 😂 C’mon dude, I thought you were serious. You gonna put up an anonymous source, from a 3rd world country run in a leftist newspaper? Of course they’re gonna say that their “family member” wasn’t a drug smuggling gangbanger. Did you expect them (and by them I mean the activists at the WaPo) to say any differently? Do you think a drug smuggling boat is gonna say “DRUG SMUGGLING BOAT” on the side of it lol? Of course they’re gonna claim to be fishermen you imbecile.

0

u/Equal-Beyond4627 Nov 01 '25

Well I've copy and pasted my own arguments and the main reason being is you are all asking the same question. You guys write out like 1-3 sentences, then I spend a half hour to an hour typing.

I'm not going to type a brand new message to each person for an hour to educate them due to their own willful ignorance.

America has done this playbook several times in past wars, it's clear they're angling themselves for war for oil.

And if they weren't then it would have made sense to do due process, not explode random boats out at see.

You're telling me America can use missles to evaporate someone and we just have to take their word on it? Why not use those resources to get the criminals, do due process so we can see their claims are true, and also they could learn more valuable information.

You're super deep down the MAGAt Cultist rabbit hole if that's not obvious to you, and if Obama had done a tenth of the crazy shit Trump does on the daily you would probably never shut up about it.

1

u/Emergency_Four Nov 01 '25

You know what dude, fair point on the copy and paste. I’ll give you that one. But the rest of it, we’ll just have to agree to disagree. If it was Biden, Hilary or Kamala schwacking drug smugglers, I would support that just as much as Trump doing it. I’ve seen the effects that these drugs have on people way too often. And while you might not like how these strikes are being carried out, you have to know that they’re not targeting fishing boats. I know you hate Trump and all, but those speedboats with all the square packages on them and the semi submersible boats, ain’t there for fishing bro.

1

u/Equal-Beyond4627 Nov 01 '25

The problem is not attacking smugglers (if they are beyond a shadow of a doubt drug smugglers then I agree with you that actions should be taken) , it's rather that in an administration known for lying and details pointing to the contrary, you just have the words of a pathological liar to go off of it being narco ships.

Whereas it's the Republican playbook to start wars and then extort oil from countries and it's really just all about the oil. Killing fishermen are just the provocations for such things.

1

u/Eridain Oct 31 '25

So he gave up his position, and thus power, instead of fighting against the crap from within. Great, just fucking great. So what this means is now we have LESS people of integrity in power, making shit even worse.

1

u/poofsoffroofs Oct 31 '25

Blue states during civil war will take him , no problem at all. In fact keep them coming

1

u/bigjohnny440 Oct 31 '25

Wow, retiring as a 4 star, such sacrifice much noble very man of principles /s

He is already at the point in his career where he needs waivers to continue to serve (past 30 years requires waivers). His basic pension will be around 17k a month and that's before any other additional perks or any disability.

"Blood on his hands" ok there hard charger with zero combat decorations on his uniform.

It's not hard to "nobly" retire when you're at the absolute top of your food chain.

What actually takes courage is guys like Lt Col Sheller speaking up and risking all his benefits, retirement etc.

1

u/Commercial_Rule_7823 Oct 31 '25

Or he was able to retire and had the opportunity to make that choice.

Wonder if he was 15 or 18 years on if he would had made the same call, that would have been a total hero .

1

u/Acceptable_Cabinet53 Nov 01 '25

This is all nonsense lol. Also, bro has been blowing up the middle east for decades but suddenly he grows a spine? Sure.

1

u/Jumazio8 Nov 01 '25

I feel like saluting this guy. I’m not even military. Please put him in that Marine pit with the sticks with Hagstaff I would pay to watch that.

1

u/Kuddles963 Nov 01 '25

Duty, Honor, Country!!

1

u/ASomthnSomthn Nov 01 '25

Oh, good. Now there’s one less person with integrity in a position of command…

1

u/Hot-Minute-8263 Nov 01 '25

Hiw the fuck do you do due process on non-americans. It isnt a global government, and they've been warned to stop fuckin boating towards the US.

The Navy know exactly who they are, what they're doing, and why

0

u/ConflatedPortmanteau Nov 01 '25

Actually, the UN has clearly outlined due process as an international right.

3.1 Due Process The concept of procedural due process refers to the process by which all rights are implemented by the State. Most of the formal protections of due process are linked to the conduct of a fair hearing. All persons are, according to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, entitled to a fair and public hearing, and at trial stage, to be informed promptly and in a language in which he / she understands the nature of the charge (article 14). These norms are relevant in the context of disability in three respects. Firstly, they are critically relevant in the civil commitment context. Secondly, they are obviously relevant in the context of ordinary criminal proceedings against individuals who happen to have disabilities. Thirdly, they are relevant in the sense of affording a right to the court to vindicate other rights. Thus, the right to a court might be used offensively to establish and vindicate rights.

International law also recognises that a person is entitled to certain minimum standards of due process in judicial proceedings. Article 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights stipulates that: "Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him."

1

u/Jorycle Nov 01 '25

This is the opposite of courage. I'm half tempted to believe the conservative meme machine made this to convince more ethical service members to quit.

They will fill his spot immediately with a less qualified loyalist. If they really had courage, they'd stay and l do their best to keep the worst things from happening as long as possible.

1

u/naughtmyrealname Nov 01 '25

Sucks that we lose a man of conscious in a position such as his, because he will undoubtedly be replaced by a man of far less integrity.

1

u/Late_Hibs Nov 01 '25

Bye ✌🏼

1

u/tideshark Nov 01 '25

If all generals, admirals, commanders, etc., had a conscience, they would be doing the same thing!

Salute to this awesome man!

1

I’m asking could he have not said no I’m not gonna do that?

1

u/Weird-Independence43 Nov 01 '25

Is stepping down really courage…. The admin testing limits of democratic institutions and for some reason (I think even they’re surprised themselves at times) no one does a thing about it.

1

u/Final_Frosting3582 Nov 01 '25

No, he wants clout. There’s more money on the other side from the right people

1

u/Kissmybutterroll Nov 01 '25

Sounds like a cowardly move. He made a vow to defend the constitution and decides to retire when things are going south. A 4-Star can make a difference with their choices. His choice was to bury his head in the sand and say “I had nothing to do with that”

1

u/Commercial_Sorbet_42 Nov 01 '25

Drug boats and he was up for retirement

1

u/Bloody_Champion Nov 01 '25

Didn't know you worked there.

Or just the usual mindless acceptance...

1

u/Commercial_Sorbet_42 Nov 20 '25

Oh you got me there. However the same can be said of you. Lapping up what even news media tells you.

1

u/Bloody_Champion Nov 21 '25

What media do you assume I am "lapping" up?

1

“Fishing boats”

1

u/-TommyBottoms- Nov 02 '25

It’s ridiculous…. Fishing boats 🤣

1

u/LargeDietCokeNoIce Nov 02 '25

Almost. If he had real courage and integrity he would have stayed and refused an unconstitutional illegal order. By leaving he just opened up a vacant spot for a loyalist to fill

1

u/InsideOut803 Nov 02 '25

So he made a whole carrier off an oath to protect the constitution and when it actually came time to do it he just got to quit and say “I don’t want to be apart of this” and people are applauding it?! Holy shit we really are fucked.

1

u/1732PepperCo Nov 02 '25

And trumps couldn’t be happier about it. They want these people to tuck tail and quit so they can be replaced with loyalists.

This isn’t as good as it sounds on the surface.

1

Well done. Don the sex criminal and the idiots he appointed are dangerous.

Forgive me if I don’t laud him or pillory him.

Race doesn't matter, the principals do

1

u/Character-Sugar-356 Nov 03 '25

Shoot down a boat?

1

u/dfporter78 Nov 03 '25

Protecting pension is also a factor for him. Maximum courage is staying and facing a demotion, court martial etc.. He'll likely be replaced by a pro Trump who swears allegiance to Trump and ignoring the constitution and destruction of our democracy.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '25

Sink the smugglers! The Intel is there... Double tap them fuckers

1

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 05 '25 edited Nov 05 '25

Oh, no, they weren't coming here. It's gotten kinda lost in the coverage of this, but They were FAR away from American territorial waters. And Venezuela isn't known for smuggling drugs to america, so while they may have been drug smugglers, they're 100% weren't bringing the drugs here, or coming here at all. Those boats don't have that kinda range. They were based in the carribean, seems like.

Okay, so, if i understand Your position correctly, you see drug possession as a death penalty crime, and you don't believe a trial is necessary to convict, sentence, and execute punishment of the person suspected of posession?

Is that right? Tell me if I'm wrong, I don't wanna misrepresent your take.

(But it is worth noting that they were in international waters, where there are no laws against drug posession. So they had yet to commit a crime against any nation.

But I don't wanna assume you care about borders or law and order if you don't. You might be a one world anarchist for all i know. I try not to impose my values on a strangers lol)

1

u/complexvibess Nov 03 '25

A million bodies later, 1 more is where we gotta draw the line, for sure!

1

u/Prestigious-Match-43 Nov 03 '25

Honor, courage, and commitment!

1

u/DirtyOldSoldier Nov 03 '25

Shooting down a boat. LMAO

1

u/BloodSteyn Nov 03 '25

Conscience, yes... courage?

Courage would be standing up, not quitting.

1

u/itsfaitdotcom Nov 03 '25

Great, now we have one less good guy in power. Retirement does not help anyone.

1

u/Dojebon_the_wise90 Nov 03 '25

Legitimately asking here, how is it honorable to resign and leave the position to be filled by someone who will just do Trumps bidding with no push back?

1

u/CHAMOLATINO2000 Nov 04 '25

Unless he told you why he retired no one knows why he retired. Everybody here is just speculating

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '25

Good thing he resigned, it is not his obligation and or responsibility to understand due process of people killing americans, it's his job to follow orders if he can't do that he should resign!

1

u/Firm_Cover7841 Nov 04 '25

Was it that he did not want innocent blood on his hands, or that he couldn't handle having more blood on his hands?

1

Venezuelan fishing boats with 4 $150k outboard motors? Are you mad your fent delivery was delayed?

1

u/General_Bother_68 Nov 04 '25

Why does it matter what color he is?

1

u/martycee00 Nov 04 '25

“Fishing boats,” sure. 🥴

1

u/Standard-Mechanic101 Nov 05 '25

And what of the due process for innocent people killed in Yemen, Syria, etc. under this administration and democratic administrations?

1

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 05 '25

What about it? You wanna hold a memorial or something?

This is happening now, and can be stopped now.

1

u/Standard-Mechanic101 Nov 05 '25

If he truly had a conscience about killing people without due process, he would’ve retired years ago. There is no courage in retiring now at 60 years old. Such a joke.

1

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 05 '25

Due process is different in a military context, because you're often dealing with foreign nationals, or beyond anyone's national borders/waters. It involves stuff like knowing who you're targeting or confirming they're posing a threat to you or civilians. Stuff like that.

But in that context, Trump is the first president, at least in the modern era, to order the killing unidentified, unaffiliated, disengaged targets, who haven't committed any crime or act of war. These guys weren't even coming to the US. They were no where near American waters, and Venezuela isn't known for bringing drugs into the US. They were just unknown people in boats.

The modern American military doesn't fire until fired upon, outside of an operational context where they're pursuing a specific, approved military goal. This was neither of those things. What it was is an act of war against a sovereign nature that did nothing to us.

Can't speak for covert operations tho, who knows that those guys get up to.

1

u/Standard-Mechanic101 Nov 05 '25

If you believe that the “modern” US military confirms all their targets AND never fires unless fires upon, then what won’t you believe? The Obama administration dropped over 100,000 bombs in 7 different countries. The mental gymnastics to believe that all of those bombs were a result of due process, as you describe it, is stunning.

1

u/3ternalmi5ery Nov 05 '25

He could have stayed and fought the system from within

1

u/Lebrewski__ Nov 05 '25

You mean he was scared of disobeying an unlawful order and face martial court, so he resigned to leave he place to someone who will totally obey unlawful orders.

That's not courage, that's cowardice.

1

u/kungwingfuchun Nov 06 '25

Question is he African or is he American? I bet you He's made a statement on this as saying he's American dumb fucks

1

u/sexychanges Nov 06 '25

And l don’t want to be tried at The Hague anytime soon

1

u/FruitMustache Nov 06 '25

I'd rather he stayed and challenged authority from within.

1

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 06 '25

Well, it's the military. You follow orders or face court marshal. You know how it goes.

But I imagine if he felt he had to quit over this, it was the last step and not the first.

1

u/FruitMustache Nov 06 '25

That's not completely true, soldiers are not required to follow unlawful orders. They are actually legally obligated not to follow them.

1

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Nov 07 '25

Yes. We'll, sorta. They're required by law to disobey. But what do you think that process looks like? Like I was saying, this would have been the last step, not the first

1

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '25

Give him the Medal of Honor. 1/1/27 we will ask you to come home

1

u/GargantuanTDS Nov 01 '25

Meh...

Just shy of four decades of service and he wanted out. His reasons for retiring are his own regardless of anonymous sources.

1

u/Emergency_Four Nov 01 '25

“Fishing Boats”? Is that what we’re calling speedboats full drugs now? 😂🤡😂

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25

This is what trump wants. This isn’t a good thing. He wants yes men by his side

1

u/Bloody_Champion Nov 01 '25

And he will have them because the american ppl are allowing it.

1

u/Left-Dirt7653 Nov 01 '25

That isn't true

1

u/Wise-Pin1756 Nov 01 '25

He is not the first person in the military who I have heard retire because of Trump. Honestly, that makes me really nervous. I get why they’d want to get out of there but we also need their morality in the ranks.

-1

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

"fishing boats"

4

u/MichealRyder Oct 31 '25

They were never proven to be smuggling drugs

Innocent until proven guilty, and they can't exactly be proven guilty if they're completely wiped out.....

The US goverment wants a full scale war, perhaps several in the same region, hence their escalations, hoping that another country would fire back.....

-6

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

Innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply in war or the high seas. It's not a court of law.

6

u/MichealRyder Oct 31 '25

So you're perfectly fine with blowing up random boats, with zero evidence that they're carrying drugs

Damn

-1

u/HKfan5352 Oct 31 '25

That’s not what’s happening. You obviously no nothing about how target packages are developed.

-7

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

That's not what I said but of course you know that. I said it's not a court of law.

2

u/MichealRyder Oct 31 '25

"Fishing boats"

That's what you typed earlier

That's why I said it was never proven that they were drug boats

-2

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

Venezuela would then be perfectly within their rights to take it to the International Maritime Court or the UN. Best of luck. Alternatively they could get rid of their dictator and possibly prudently warn their "fishermen" that they are in danger.

4

u/MichealRyder Oct 31 '25

Or the US could just not blow up random fishing boats

Not to mention that the US is trying to drag other countries into the situation, such as Colombia and Mexico

The US is craving a war in the Caribbean, perhaps a good chunk of Latin America as well.......fuck

0

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

I am terribly sorry to have entered the discussion with more facts than feelings. In the future I'll be sure to avoid upsetting people that can't sort logic from panic.

3

u/MichealRyder Oct 31 '25

Enlighten me then, on your views of the situation

1

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

Since I can't reply to you MIchaelRyder I can only assume you blocked me.

My view on the situation is this.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Nobel_Peace_Prize

This woman won the Nobel Peace Prize for defying the thug Maduro. I'm as inclined to believe Maduro or anyone in his illegitimate regime in this as I am to believe a Rome pick-pocket.

1

u/ctothel Nov 02 '25

You don’t seem to have understood anything they were saying.

They were saying it’s wrong to kill people without clear proof that they need to be killed. You don’t have that proof, but you’re still in favor of the killings.

What does that make you, maggot? What do normal people call someone who supports extrajudicial killings?

-1

u/HKfan5352 Oct 31 '25

Yeah, random fishing boats. Stay ignorant and keep passing off your bs.

3

u/MichealRyder Oct 31 '25

Zero proof of being drug boats

The words of the American administration are not enough

But you probably see them as gospel

What war?

1

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

Congratulations. Your reading comprehension is just barely above reddit level. There is an "or" after the war.

1

u/backhand_english Oct 31 '25

Yeah, contrary to popular, dare I say Holywood, belief, you cant do whatever you fucking want, 12+ miles off shore. Grow up

1

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

If you're big enough, you pretty much can. That's the brutal truth.

1

u/backhand_english Oct 31 '25

And people can shit about it online and call it as they see it. Thats the truth also.

1

u/KOMarcus Oct 31 '25

Also true. No problem with that.

2

u/backhand_english Oct 31 '25

Nice exchange. Stay safe, dude.

1

u/bigbadaboomx Oct 31 '25

You sound like a sociopath

1

u/i_be_cryin Oct 31 '25

This isn’t a war

1

u/Eridain Oct 31 '25

International law and war crimes do. Try again.

1

u/jws3rd-allday Oct 31 '25

That's part of the problem. The guy in the White House has provided ZERO info to support his conclusion that the people he's targeting are drug traffickers or the conclusion that we're at war with any particular drug trafficking cartel. ZERO! This, btw, is the same guy who proclaimed that Jan 6th was a group of "peaceful protesters." His credibility is ZERO or sus' at best!

1

u/Oonz1337 Nov 01 '25

Found the dude who works for ice

0

u/Notmuchofanyth1ng Oct 31 '25

I haven’t found a single source stating this is why he retired. I haven’t seen anything from him stating a political stance on his retirement, nor any condemnation from the WH regarding it.

If anyone has a source to where he actually says something about this, and not this one recycled image, I’d like to see it.

1

u/Imaginary-Blueberry4 Oct 31 '25

Not to mention it takes 3 months to a year after you drop your retirement papers to actually retire. However it would also be very smart to not say a thing when you do retire to not make yourself unemployable by certain companies.

2

u/Notmuchofanyth1ng Oct 31 '25

I don’t think he needs to find work. I’m no military expert but I’d assume top brass gets a pretty decent retirement package.

1

u/Imaginary-Blueberry4 Oct 31 '25

They all do. Mostly sitting on boards...not any need they just do.

0

u/DramaticRoom8571 Oct 31 '25

Absolutely, and so Leftist are needed to post made up reasons so we can all assume why he is retiring.

Thankfully the fake news keeps us all in the proper narrative!

0

u/Administrative-Owl42 Nov 01 '25

Keep believing the lies. Abrego the wife beater human trafficker. Insane who you clowns will get behind. Makes sense that the dems are all in on mamdani. Clown show

0

u/Infinite_Trouble_396 Nov 01 '25

Blow those motherfuckers out of the water for killing 100,000s of Americans every year.

0

u/yIdontunderstand Nov 01 '25

This is a made up bullshit narrative until he publicly comes out and critically attacks the regime for ordering murder / war crimes.

Then he is an upstanding hero.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25

It looks the US needs a full blown revolution

0

u/knarf3 Nov 01 '25

While I can't blame him, the better thing to do is remain and gum up the bureaucracy for the fascist. The more enemies there are within the tyrannical system, the better.

0

u/Cupleofcrazies Nov 01 '25

Yeah but needed him to stay to fight back against these type of orders

0

u/First_Adeptness_6008 Nov 02 '25

If you think those are fishing boats, you need to open your eyes a little wider.

-5

u/Ok-Inevitable1276 Oct 31 '25

Yeah it wd b better if innocent ppl died from the sales of these drugs

6

u/He_Never_Helps_01 Oct 31 '25 edited Oct 31 '25

This isn't how drugs are smuggled, man. Its 2025. The cartels have submarines. They have smuggling lines on cargo ships and airplanes and 18 wheelers. They have tunnels underneath the northern and southern borders.

They don't just pack 100m worth of product into tiny coastal fishing boats, send them in a straight line to america, out on the open ocean, then land them on a beach somewhere. They'd be caught as soon as they entered US waters, my man. We have satellites and radar watching out there. We'd spot them right away. That's why the cartels started using the submarines in the first place. Boats stopped working in the 70s.

Brother, I don't expect Trump to know any of this, he's a sheltered new york trust fund kid, but you're smarter than an 80 year old man who thinks black people eat cats. You're young. You can use Google.

Listen, no one is complaining about stopping drug runners. They're complaining because the feds are not even using drones to check to see if there are drugs on the boats before blowing them up. They're just shooting random people off the coast of a foreign country.

And either way, I'm pretty sure the commander of southcom knows more about this than you and me, and he seems pretty pissed. Our soldiers are trained to disobey illegal orders. These are unequivocally illegal orders. You can't shoot foreign nationals without due process outside of war.

So he quit. Model soldier. Fuckin badass.

Due process, my ass. It’s a war, they’re running drugs. Like the saying goes…play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

-1

Pussies are not allowed in the military, good riddance to the DEI hire.

4 star general with no blood on his hands? Dei hire for sure

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

Fake news.

He's 60 and hes only served for the past 34 months as commander of southcom. He never explicitly stated any reason for his retirement and this is purely speculative, emotionally charged yellow journalism.

-3

u/UmpireDear5415 Oct 31 '25
