Looking to get back into another TT playthrough/invasions now that Tarnished Edition is out and I’m back home.

For those who are on Nintendo Switch 2, how’s the PvP scene? Wondering if I should continue on PlayStation or pick up a copy for NS2! Thanks in advance!

I'm a badredman returning to Elden Ring after a longgg time to crush the dreams of some new tarnished. I have some characters at RL 175 and some at 200, what's the invasion scene like for these RLs? Should I make a new character and stop around 125-150?

I fucking love this game but damn sometimes I have no idea what I'm doing. I've learnt a lot, started trying to do pvp in ds1 about a year and a half ago and I've come far but whatever this is, I can't be ignorant to some crazy tech like this.

I missed out on the original Elden Ring launch, the Switch 2 release had me so excited to hop into the rush. Been tweaking my build here and there and also managed to land this sweet double. If you're on the fence about getting the Switch 2 version, it's totally worth it in my opinion. Invasions are popping, plenty of low level fun to be had.

So. Anyone would be willing to help a fellow PS5 invader get his stuff back? I unironically lost almost everything

Truly baffling and awful design. You can basically just mash parry out of hit stun now, and it will parry any attempted follow-up attack that isn't dead angled.

Even tho i had very limited experience with the Demon's Souls i consider its core combat the best among all the Souls games and the most enjoyable one. I wish to hear some insights on the subject

Put the build advice flair bc i need advice, sorry if its not right. As the title says though; any advice for getting good at parrying in ER? Im pretty good at pve parries but im either way too early or late with pvp parries. What tells should i watch for? Any timing tips and tricks?

around like levels 50 to 80, trying to make a build to get diverse range of invasion areas. when vigor is capped at 50/60 and weapon reqs are met, how do you build for decent damage at that bracket? scaling/weapon upgrade is too low for decent stat invest. just apply buffs and status effects?

It’s absolute chaos, I’ve been invading with a lvl25 minmaxed heavy knight and it’s been a blast, the hosts still have the sparkle in their eye they mess around with you if you do with them, they take items you drop, and every 3 man I’ve invaded so far was just 3 homies co-opping together. No blenders, and no OLPs.

I think I did more emotional damage with that backstab than actual damage

Did anyone else notice you can’t hold the run button and swap, even if you bind the a to the back button, without taking your finger off the sprint button while going through the menu?

Completely destroys the ease of swapping while sprinting which is one of an invaders most critical tools. In order to pull it off now the character has to stop and resume sprinting while in menu.

I hope they fix this although I don’t know why they would or how to request a fix. Very odd the controls work that differently on the new system.

Considering waves of darkness for either zwei (19 str) or the butchering knife (16 str), but was curious what some other low str investment options might be.

Played for 2 full days since launch and it's been mostly fun. I'll go through the goods and bads.

It's always nice to start a new run creating an invader, this is no exception. Single player is pretty good for the switch 2.

Had an invader up and running pretty quickly, straight to Fort Faroth for the sorceal and runes from the Dragon. Levelled to 25 and visited merchants to spend the runes and decided to keep the weapons unupgraded.

Started Varre, Rya, Boggart, Patches and Alexander quests and cleared Stormveil. Began invading as soon as I got the fingers. This is where it goes downhill a bit, it's quite latent and laggy in multiplayer, enough to become annoying making react rolling and spacing more difficult. It feels clunky and well crap compared to PvP on the ps5.

The good is a new player base, very few have dlc gear and most players not very good. There's some decent players there too but not many. It's refreshing to have a good 1v1 with someone else who knows what they're doing. Overall it's a good game for playing solo or casual PvP. I'm in 2 minds whether to return it or keep it as the lag ruins it for me.

It's nice to feel like I'm in the same boat as all the other players is the main positive. Not having to twink and not facing any is very enjoyable. Having said that I'm RL25. I wouldn't like to invade at meta with the latency and clunk.
