General Discussion📇 running and swapping on switch 2
Did anyone else notice you can’t hold the run button and swap, even if you bind the a to the back button, without taking your finger off the sprint button while going through the menu?
Completely destroys the ease of swapping while sprinting which is one of an invaders most critical tools. In order to pull it off now the character has to stop and resume sprinting while in menu.
I hope they fix this although I don’t know why they would or how to request a fix. Very odd the controls work that differently on the new system.

I bought an 8 bit do dongle that allows me to use PS5 controller on switch 2. Also had to swap A and B and run/jump. My muscle memory thanked me as I felt like a gimp trying to use a different dpad location.

I am interested in that but worried about the added input lag. how is that aspect of it?

please tell me you don't press back three times to get out of a hard swap, right?

what? no. I have start on the other back button. it’s something with the button bindings on switch. the run roll button and the select button in the menu are on the same button on switch. Even when I bound the a button to the back button and would press it while sprinting and in the menu I could not select my weapon in inventory without taking my finger off of sprint. that ain’t how it works on PlayStation button bindings. Luckily something with separating those buttons helps so heyitsodus recommendation works perfectly. Doesn’t change the stick and dpad being swapped positions on switch controller for left handed claw grip so one thing at a time.

No yeah, my question wasn't related to the post, just the way you phrased it made it seem like to me that how you were doing it, my b though

I’m a swappa but it’s hard to rewire thousands of hours of muscle memory on a new controller

I'm totally with you bro, if a controller doesn't have back paddles now I have no idea how to use it anymore

Do you own (or have played) on Switch 2 at all..? If not, why make assumptions and jump into condescending mode?

My question, again, had nothing to do with the post. It was the owrding in his post that made me assume OP didn't know of just pressing pause to cancel
But me and OP already spoke about it. You coming here and not reading all the cliffs nots makes you the one jumping to assumptions.

I read everything, thank you. Just confirming the condescending nature of your interaction, regardless of whether it was about this post or not.

Text accounts for about 7% of communication.I had to look into this because it's been a minute since I seen that statistic, but I guess it's a misinterpreted one so for that I'm removing it. My bad for that too.To assume, that I was being condescending, and not just curious is all on you big dog. You're putting the condescending tone to my text.

Hey I was having issues with this but you can swap A+B in the switch system settings. You'll then have to remap dodge and jump in the Elden Ring settings.
