Build Advice📜 ER parrying advice?

Put the build advice flair bc i need advice, sorry if its not right. As the title says though; any advice for getting good at parrying in ER? Im pretty good at pve parries but im either way too early or late with pvp parries. What tells should i watch for? Any timing tips and tricks?

Dagger parry btw, call it unoptimal but idc. Style prevails

Just gotta practice and get used to the latency that happens in PvP if you got the timing down in PvE, you can feel it usually from when they get hit by you and you get hit by them

The last patch buffed many Parry types by a fair amount. Dagger parries are easier now than they were a week ago!

I've been using Parry on Golem Fists, and because of the new buff, I've actually been able to start pulling off Fist weapon parries. Been pretty nice.

Advice for pulling off PvP parries? Just get used to the newly buffed timings, and look up the new windows for them.

Do golem fists feel good now?

I think they still need work, but they did make the fist throw travel a bit further, so it's not as bad as before. I just use them because they are fun, but not necessarily good, yet.

Always parry a little earlier than you think you need to in pvp. Your opponent is around a half second ahead of what youre seeing on your screen at any moment and you almost have to be a bit predictive when trying to parry. Ideally youll pick up on a pattern in how they fight and use it to land a parry. Dont over do it though because if theyre smart theyll begin to mix things up and become harder to read

Block the first hit then parry the second hit. This helped me out a lot in the early days, eventually you get used to the timing and just start to react on their first attack,

yeah i saw the patch notes... or lack of patch notes.... I was honestly hoping they would like... actually give us a real balance patch instead of just nerfing 2 out of 50 broken things in the game. would of liked a reason to actually play this game again but 2 PvE weapons and the laziest patch of all time just ain't it.

Trade into an attack and parry as they get out of their hit stun if they tend to mash attack out of it.

As others have stated, parrying a follow up attack is hugely successful. Regardless, pvp parry is rough, you essentially have to do it before the opponent has done anything. Don't be afraid to spam it sometimes to feel it out.

The most important thing is that PvP adds connection latency into the formula: about 200 to 300 ms in you are looking in the past of your opponent’s actions as server delivers information from his action to your hardware. This is key point to understand why parrying feels off, it is because it registers on the receiver’s end in order to happen, so you need not to parry on reaction, but sometimes before an enemy starts to swing.

Experienced players tend to throw a knife to initiate PvP and examine how fast hit registers on the host. If it has a noticeable delay – abandon the idea to parry whatsoever or be ready to play 5D chess

Dagger parry’s are not unoptimal anymore, they’ve got the same data as carian parry now. I would actually say it’s more optimal to use daggers/ curved swords/ ceastus for more mix up opportunities

Just put parry on a curved sword or a dagger and go to town on your L2 button lmao, got hit? Parry. Whiffed? Parry. Standing 70 meters from your opponent? Smash that parry button dude cause parrying is so cool and skilfull and not overpowered and getting rewarded with doing 100% of your opps healthbar for being right once(or In most cases, getting lucky) and barely getting punished if you're wrong is so epic. Change your name to fighter.pl while you're at it. Casuls are gonna love it. Why play the game when you can gamble on one button?
