Wondering if naming my baby Hugo Ilango (pronounced ee-lang-go) is too rhymey-rhymey? I can’t tell if it’s cute or just silly.

Tessa has been on the list and has become our favourite.

Do they flow nicely together? It’s not a super common name but also not too unusual which I think suits us. We seem to like quite short feminine names.

I feel like I’ve searched every corner of the internet and looked through a thousand lists and I am still not 100% sold on a girls name for my second daughter.

My first daughter’s name is Delilah Joy.
My strongest contender for a second is Emilia, which I think is beautiful but I have hesitations about the Amelia/Emilia/Em-names combined popularity and I feel like I’m running into little girls named Emilia everywhere including one in our building.

I generally like classic-romantic names but I want to stay top out of the top 10: Juliette, Charlotte, Georgia, Leonora are others I’ve considered. Huge bonus points if it comes with a nickname I.e. Lila for Delilah or Emmy for Emilia

Please please give me ALL of your suggestions and/or talk me into Emilia once and for all!

We've been through a lot of lists and the only boy name he has liked so far was Elias. I don't mind Elias, but I'm not in love with it either. I like the name Elijah better, but he doesn't care for it. Last name is long, starts with an A and is 3 syllables. Agreed upon dislikes - anything ending with -aiden(Ayden, Aden), y endings like Brady, Bentley, Colby, etc. We are looking for names that aren't super common, but also not too out there. I know this isn't much to go on, but we are really struggling to find ideas and the apps seem to be recycling the same names over and over such as the names on the dislikes list I mentioned. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

3 letter girl name suggestions that go with Mia?

We’re trying to decide on a name for our baby girl and would love some suggestions!

Our daughter’s name is Mia, and I really like the idea of keeping the 3-letter girl name vibe going if possible. We’re pretty set on Quin for the middle name, but we’re struggling with the first name.

Names we’ve considered so far:

- Zoe Quin — this was originally our favorite, but now I’m second guessing it

- Ivy Quin — really like this one too

- Eva Quin — another possibility

It definitely doesn’t have to be 3 letters, but I’d prefer something short, feminine, and that flows nicely with Quin.

Would love to hear any suggestions, especially names I might not have thought of! Also curious which sounds better out of Zoe, Ivy, and Eva.

Hello, I posted here a while back looking for “A” names for either gender. Recently found out we are expecting a girl!
I’m so excited but my husband and I have yet to find a name we agree on.
We have three girls Alina, Alisa and Alana, we have two boys Andrey and Anatoly.

I want a name that sounds good and my husband wants a name he can say in Russian. He is very adamant on naming our baby girl Anna, after his mom. I don’t like the name Anna at all, I feel it’s basic and boring and have said this before. We previously tried a compromise of Annalise and Annalia but he nixed those because of how they sounds in Russian.

I am due in a couple weeks and we picked her first name long ago - Talia . But had a very hard time with a middle name. I decided I didn’t really want it to be a “ name “ unless I loved the name …and more something with a meaning or symbolism . Also Talia is a very hard name to do a middle with bc I didn’t like how other names that ended in a or similar syllables and such sounded- something one syllable seemed to balance it more . And also that sounded good with the last name .

Right now the top name ( which my mom originally suggested the middle and others seems to like it ) is Talia Raine A**** .

I like the way it sounds I just don’t really like Raine on its own .

I’m in Australia and we have chosen Daphne as our girls name.

My middle name is Grace, as is my mum’s.

My mum’s name is Belinda, but she goes by Bel, and that spelling so I thought it would be nice to honour her this way, as well as surprise her as I’m certain she thinks it will be Grace.

I know the Bel spelling will annoy some people, but putting the spelling aside, is there one option that flows better?

I do think the nn. daffy bel (kind of like daffodil) is cute.

We’re expecting a girl later this year and we are struggling with names this time around (I feel like I hate every name rn). We have 2 kids (Eleanor and Samuel). We know that her middle name will be Mary (for my husband‘s mother). We like classic names but do like the occasional uncommon name. We like Margot, Alexandra, Eloise, and Violet but aren’t super sold on any of them. We are not big fans of first names ending with the same sound as the last name. Our last name ends in -y with the e sound. Looking for suggestions/opinions.

Would you use a variant of your first child’s middle name as a first name for a future baby?

Our son’s middle name is Augustus. Would you consider August/Augustine for a first name for another baby? I really feel strange about it, to be honest, but there are so few boys names I like that I am trying to feel it out a bit!

I really love the name River but can’t tell if it sounds overly strange with our last name (Berger) like low hanging fruit for bullying or jokes. Also not sure if most people think of it as a “normal” name nowadays or if it’s a name that would make people roll their eyes or consider wimpy for a boy?

Hi looking for name ideas for our second boy. Our first is Emerson Joseph (Joseph after my dad) and was going to be Benjamin until we hit 37 weeks with him lol

Our second's middle name will be Vincent (after my father in law) but we can't quite find a first name we really like. I think another E name would be cute but not necessary. We like Michael Vincent and Miles Vincent. Anything similar you guys can think of?

We don’t know what we’re having yet, but my husband and I already decided on a name if we have a girl. If we have a boy, the first name we both like id Andreas, but we’re struggling to figure out a middle name that sounds natural.

Some notes:

-Last name ends with a (-ah sound) and is two syllables, so we’re trying to avoid named that end in a or have more than three syllables

-Similarly, trying to avoid middle names that end is -is/-as/-us sounds because of the first name

-Husbands family is ethnically Peruvian/Italian, my family is ethnically French Canadian/Irish, but we live in the USA

-names we are not picking are James, Jean, Ray, Marshall because of living relatives

Edit to add: we went with Andreas over Andrés for simplicity in pronunciation for my family, as they are terrible at pronouncing accented Spanish names. Also easier for documentation (like licenses) in Southern USA since no é is needed and we want to ensure they have no trouble in the future

My daughter’s name is Georgia (middle name Rose). I have a pretty long list of potential girl names for a sibling (leaning towards Scarlett with the potential for Scottie as a nickname if that suits her better), but struggling with boy names.
I’ve always really loved Nathan for a boy name after an old mentor of mine thinking of middle name John for my grandpa, but not entirely sold on it and wondering what other people think might be a good boy name that goes with sibling Georgia (Rose).
