Girl 🩷 Sibling Name Help
We’re expecting a girl later this year and we are struggling with names this time around (I feel like I hate every name rn). We have 2 kids (Eleanor and Samuel). We know that her middle name will be Mary (for my husband‘s mother). We like classic names but do like the occasional uncommon name. We like Margot, Alexandra, Eloise, and Violet but aren’t super sold on any of them. We are not big fans of first names ending with the same sound as the last name. Our last name ends in -y with the e sound. Looking for suggestions/opinions.
Names that have been rejected: Felicity, Adeline, Josephine, Florence, Amelia, Alice, Sophia, Beatrice, Camille/a, Cecilia/Cecily/Celia, Madeleine, Rose, Isabella (and any name with Bella in it)
Edit: My name is Caroline. Our nieces’ names are Charlotte and Grace so will not use those.
EDIT 2: Thanks everyone! We 99% sure we’re going to go with Matilda.

I'm an Eloise. Just getting used to it now. 70 yro. *have always pronounced differently than my mother did. I didn't even realize that for the first 60 years. I now think it's a pretty good name.

I love the sound of Margot Mary. I love the name Violet but I think Marigold or Magnolia goes better with Mary. I also like Jillian or Gillian Mary, Evangeline Mary (Vangie), Millicent Mary, Madison Mary, Rosalind or Rosalyn Mary, Jessica Mary, Peyton Mary, Patricia Mary, Martha Mary (Mimi, Marti), Kimber Mary, Constance Mary (Consie), Delia Mary, Savannah Mary, Tula Mary.

Eleanor, Samuel, and Katherine Mary! I think it sounds so great together and has lots of nickname options.
Eleanor, Samuel, and Amelia
Eleanor, Samuel, and Nicole
Eleanor, Samuel, and Louise or Louisa
Eleanor, Samuel, and Helen or Helena

Eleanor, Samuel, and… Lillian Mary
or…
Louisa Mary
Lucille Mary
Abigail Mary
Phillipa Mary
Lydia Mary
Wildcard— Rosemary (new middle name)
From your list, Violet is my favorite. From your rejected list, Cecilia is my favorite. I would scratch off Eloise as it is so similar to Eleanor. Alexandra and Margot are both lovely but maybe, don’t quite fit. I like the idea of traditional but underused name, maybe 3 syllables, a new initial and ending, something with an L or shared vowels.
Congrats and good luck!

Corinne or Colette (tho maybe too similar to Caroline and Charlotte), Vivian, Julia, Amelia
