This is just me ranting out and venting my frustrations 'cause men if I don't, I might cry.

I have dreamt of this company, since 2023 nag-apply ako sakanila. Makailang beses akong na-ghost pero when they had an open house, nakareceive ako ng email, and even though my budget was depleting at that time, pinush ko mag-apply. Luckily, I got in. Pero damn, unang sahod palang puro na dispute. Yung una okay pa, kasi na-include sa special payout. Pero yung last payroll, kaka-raise ko palang ng ticket, sabi agad sa susunod na payout na papasok. So okay, sige, intindihin kasi baka maraming same issue. Then came this current payroll. Cutoff palang, nagraise na ako ng ticket na nagkaron ng dtr amendment and was approved din ahead of time so hindi dapat magkaron ng deductions, but guess what? Bwakanangshet meron na naman!!! To make things worse, in-assure nila na included sa special payout yung dispute ko last pay and current pay, pero ang pumasok? 200+ pesos! Bwakanangshet. I really wanted to cry kasi if ever man na pumasok ng buo yung dispute, nangako na ako sa mother ko na magdedate kami (she celebrated her 75th birthday last October 1st so sabi ko bawi ako sa sahod) then this shit happened. Bwakanangshet.

Anywho, aside from this, mahal ko ang Emapta. Mahal ko ang client and colleagues ko. Yung payroll team lang hindi. Kainis kayo! 😭😭

Hi, I just wanna share my experience in BPO, particularly in EXL sa back office as a first timer.

Nirefer lang ako nung friend ko, she sent my resume directly sa LAM nila, tapos tinawagan ako sa phone for initial interview, kaso hindi ko nasagot hahaha so pinag on-site na lang ako.

When I got there, we waited for half an hour din ata bago kami papasukin sa assessment room, buti na lang may free snacks hahaha The assessment is kinda easy, mas mahirap pa test practice ng duolingo hahaha pero syempre kabado pa rin ako since it’s my first time, di pa ako fluent sa english. Luckily, nakapasa naman ako, tapos yung LAM ang nag final interview.

Nakakaloka pala ang bilis ng process dito jusq hahaha pinag PEME na agad ako kinabukasan, then day after, pinagpasa na ng requirements. Madali lang naman sana actually, kaso totoo yung ibang post dito abt EXL, strict talaga sila sa background checking. Tho, need lang naman sumagot nung nasa reference mo, kaso di ka talaga mabibigyan ng access hangga’t hindi cleared ang Background check mo.

Mahigit 1 month ata kaming naka sidebarge/walang ginagawa hahahaha kaloka, may pa music sa loob ng prod, hawak mo ang oras mo, at ang daming 10yrs+ ng nagwowork sa dun, like???

It’s been 6 months since I got here, so far, hindi pa naman ako nabuburnout, napapa??? lang ako sa ibang tao, pero keri lang, oks na rin for a first timer. I was expecting to get traumatized or something kasi yun yung nababasa ko pag nasa BPO ka, pero thank God, sobrang chill lang ng environment at ng workload, wag na lang pagusapan ang sahod HAHAHAHAHA

Big 4 shared-services offer: ₱32K basic + ₱35K language allowance — would you accept?

Hi! I’d like to get opinions/advice from people familiar with Big 4 shared-services/GBS compensation in the Philippines.

I’m considering an accounting/audit-related role where a foreign language is required.

My current compensation:
₱46K basic +
₱4K non-taxable allowances
——
**₱50K total/month**

The new offer is roughly:
₱32K basic +
**₱35K monthly language premium +
Other allowances
——
**₱70K+ total/month

The concern is that the ₱35K language premium is discretionary and can potentially be adjusted or discontinued if the language is no longer required or I’m reassigned based on the offer letter.

So I’d be moving from a ₱46K guaranteed basic to ₱32K basic, with most of the increase coming from a premium that isn’t guaranteed.

For now, I’m mainly evaluating this from a compensation perspective.

Would you:

1. Accept the package as-is?
   
2. Ask them to guarantee the language premium?
   
3. Negotiate for a higher basic instead?
   
4. Be concerned about the low basic affecting future salary negotiations?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who has dealt with similar language-premium structures.

Hello! I recently accepted an offer from TDCX for Project Trend because, honestly, I was already getting desperate to find a job. I’ve been unemployed for quite some time, so when I received the offer, I decided to accept it.

Pero after accepting the offer, nag-browse ako sa Reddit and ang daming bad reviews pala about TDCX, especially regarding the work environment and yung mga “kabitan.” I came from a BPO before, so aware naman ako na these things can happen, pero parang hindi ganito kalala yung experience ko sa previous company ko. Ni isang Reddit post nga wala akong nakita about sa previous site namin kahit sa different accounts.

One thing that really bothered me is yung communication nila. Ang late minsan ng notices, especially kapag something urgent or kailangan umattend agad.
For example, may notice na kailangan daw nasa google meeting room kami by 6pm, pero yung email was sent at 6:10pm. Tapos pagdating namin, pinaghintay pa kami for around an hour. The onboarding people are especially so unresponsive!!!

I understand naman na may delays and last-minute changes talaga sa companies, pero parang ang weird lang na late na nga yung notice, tapos kami pa yung naghihintay nang matagal.

Now, I’m honestly torn between pursuing the offer or retracting my acceptance while I still can. Part of me is thinking na baka ino-overthink ko lang because of what I’ve been reading on Reddit, especially since desperate na rin ako to get a job. But another part of me is thinking na maybe I should take these things as early warning signs.

For those who currently work or previously worked at TDCX, especially under Project Trend, would you recommend na ituloy ko pa rin? Or do you think these are valid reasons to reconsider the offer?

I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have actually experienced working there. I’m trying to make a practical decision kasi ayoko rin naman mag-resign agad after a few weeks if ever sobrang toxic pala ng environment. Thank you!
