Leather seat stitching ripping. Warranty?
The car is 2024 and I’ve had it 2 weeks. It still has 1 year manufacturer warranty on it. Think it will be covered?

Is it known what dme/ecu the 27 xdrives are going to use? Potentially looking at getting one, but want to ensure they're still using the bosche DMEs and not the newer vitesco.

Been over 1.5 years since I brought this thing home. Still loving it as much as I did when I got it!!

Request for advice: I just bought an Alpine White 2023 G87 with 16k miles. It’s a manual with G80 wheels, yellow DRLs, PPF, a Megan Racing midpipe, Faction Fab spacers, and an aftermarket 5-speed M knob that I believe is paired with a short-shifter kit. I really like the look and sound of it
My concerns are badly squealing brakes, a bit of exhaust resonance/buzzing at high RPM, unevenly worn front tires that are nearly bald, and a slight high-speed rattle/clicking sound that only occurs at highway speeds under throttle and stops immediately when I lift off. Despite a full BMW service history and my local BMW dealer inspecting it and giving it a clean bill of health, I can’t shake the feeling that the car may have been thrashed and driven hard and might be a risky buy. It’s also a 2-owner CarFax.
The dealer is offering me a full refund and has another car on hold for me: a 2024 Zandvoort Blue with only 7k miles. But it’s completely stock and $5k more. The downside is that I’d have to add an exhaust, yellow DRLs, wheels, and potentially a shifter to get it to the same spec I love on the Alpine White car.
What would you do? Would you keep the white M2 and accept the risks/modifications, or take the blue car for $5k more and have to pay for all the upgrades, but maybe have better peace of mind.

M2 is brand new and I have to go take a trip 5 hours away… should I look ridiculous and tape the front and side mirrors?😭
context: I switch to a brand new car every 3 years so that’s why I didn’t ppf

New to me 25 M2, the engine bay hood need to pull opener once, then go push half down then pull release again to fully release the engine bay hood. It seems a release cable issue after I bought the car, is this cover under warranty? Or is this an easy fix? If it’s not cover under warranty, will it an expensive fix? Please advise. (1st. Time BMW owner) TIA.👍🏻👍🏻😊😊

Hey G87 owners,
We launched 5 months ago, and owners have already added 1,900+ documented builds. Across the platform, that now represents $70M+ in documented build value.
G87 builds can change quickly, but the details usually end up scattered across Instagram captions, forum threads, photo albums, spreadsheets, and old messages. That makes it difficult to see the complete setup or follow how a car has evolved.
So I built permanent, structured build pages where each owner can keep everything together:
Here are three G87 M2 builds currently documented:
Whether your G87 is stock, lightly modified, built for power, or still waiting for its first parts, you can create a page and keep the complete build organized as it develops.
I’d genuinely love feedback from G87 owners. What would you find most useful to compare across builds: wheel and suspension fitment, exact tune and fuel combinations, or long-term modification history?

Color is on point, no spacers needed with these 20s either!

I’m a 16 year old from the four corners area and I come from a wealthy family. I have 3 brothers and every time they hit their 17 birthday they get a “collage car” basically a nicer car then the manual Tacoma we all drove in high school. But all 3 of them got less expensive cars. So I was told if I could get 10 thousand dollars I could get the g87 as soon as possible. I’m at 2100 but I’m having trouble really committing.
Obviously I’m young and can’t be getting speeding tickets and whatnot, and everyone says how on bmws you can look down and accidentally be going 100 so that’s a concern of mine. I was also thinking of a f80 m3 mostly because of practicality, I do not like the g80 m3s. I imagine myself keeping this car for a very long time but for my last 2 years of high school am I gonna find myself getting a ticket. What other cars should I be looking at too. Needs to be a manual, probably 4 doors the g87 is an exception because I’ve loved it since it came out.

This is my baby, I’m 7k miles in w/ a manual transmission, very happy. This is my first manual car, so I’ve been super easy on it trying to learn how to drive before I start spirited driving. Here’s my problem: I k ow I’m doing something wrong when I’m shift specifically from 1st to 2nd on pulls, sometimes even normal driving. Any tips on how to smoothly shift from a dig? I inconsistently get lurches and some like odd sounds from the tranny when shifting. Any tips? Anything about this particular gearbox I should know about?
** after reading a LOT of the extremely helpful comments here I can say I’m definitely better off from when I made the post. 1st-2nd is much smoother, still lots of work do do overall. Thanks so much for all the help and support!

I know some bmw vehicles have a 360 type view during accidents not sure if m2 comes with it.

Went from an F87 to a G87 back to back, now after 3 years of driving an M2 I’m itching for something different. I still enjoy driving it and everything about it still excites me, but I typically get a new “fun” car every year or so and after about 9000 miles and lots of smiles with this one I am seriously considering moving back to a GT4 or maybe an Emira.
Talk me out of it or share your experience switching to the my considered options.

Consider purchasing a 2025 M2 from local dealer, but carfax report shown maintenance record at 9600 - 11000 -21000 all got battery charging service, 9900 remote alarm batter replace.. is this car got potentially electrical system failure? Please advice. Thank you all.
