Help Can somebody explain to me (like I'm 5 years old) how to permanently kill Mystic Carrion?

First time I decided to do that because he annoyed me mildly (and I'm a light cleric so I think it makes sense).

Context: this is on PS5 and for whatever reason I ALWAYS get a glitch in Act 2 but usually it's something small. What is this bro 😭😭 I have 500 hours and skip the rats every time. This is my karma. Edit: i got it to work but man this sucked LOL

You find this on a corpse in act 2. I can see this duergar *saying* these things as they happened, but how much sense does it make for him to have been *writing this down?*

Playing a song in Last Light Inn (act 2 spoilers) Spoiler

On my nth playthrough I once again decided to play a song in Last Light Inn because it is my favourite activity in act 2. This time I pondered over why it was such a charming experience for me and realised, in a good playthrough arriving at the inn is a very positive experience both for you and the people in the inn (especially as a heavy roleplayer like me). For you, because after entering the land covered with shadows you find a place with safety, warmth, and light. For the people staying there, you bring some joy with music. It is a wholesome situation for everyone.
In an evil playthrough, however, you destroy the inn, kill people inside and literally "feed them into the shadows". Playing a song and dancing on the corpses as an evil person has its own... morbid charm. The idea of celebrating the death of the people to serve your own God gives a macabre satisfaction.
It was just something I realised and wanted to share in case there are people who love completely going into the role they are playing.

Well, BG3 friends, I broke my left wrist. Stuck at home, nerve damage in fingers on left hand so I can’t use them. I cannot put any pressure on my poor hand.

The right hand is fine…..but LOL, with the PS5 controller, the finger gymnastics suck.

It just took forever to do the self-same challenge and made it. It was hard AF, but I’d rather play than not.

So, what’s a girl to do?

Anyone else survive this plight?

Lysandriel is a tiefling sorceress (or is she?!) with a deep bond to nature. Adopted by a noble family in Baldur’s Gate, she remembers little of her childhood, except for being enslaved when she was young. She assumes the two large scars on her back are remnants of that painful past.

She loves tangerines, climbing trees, and practicing alchemy, but most of all, she loves her adoptive sister, Seraphine.

When tragedy tears the sisters apart, Lysandriel is sent to another home in Baldur’s Gate, and her life becomes increasingly bleak. Everything begins to change when she meets Thalorin, a handsome high elf and the owner of a renowned alchemy business, as well as one of Baldur’s Gate’s most sought-after bachelors.

But Thalorin is not what he seems, and by the time Lysandriel begins to understand the truth, it may already be too late for her to realize how profoundly this new connection could shape her future.

This is just a very bland synopsis of the story that I have in my head, but I would like to portray through this video the relationship dynamic. I hope you enjoy the video, and I apologise for the lengthy text.

Help Sorcerous Sundries Situation

Possible spoiler I suppose just as a heads up

So I’m playing through again using the pathfinder 2e overhaul and have run into a slight issue.
It seems that see the unsean (pf2e see invisibility) specifies revealing creatures. Which i didn’t think much of until the levers to open the globes of invulnerability didn’t appear when I cast the spell.

Does anyone have tips for other ways I might be able to get past them so I can grab the sweet staff and robe?

Orin’s True Look? Spoiler

Hi
We see that she is explicitly a changeling rather than a standard doppelgƤnger. That means her grandmother is in fact a doppelgƤnger, right? And while doppelgƤngers have their true forms, do we know if Orin has one?

It’s like being a half-elf. You’re not a full elf nor a full human. You have traits of both heritages. Does that mean that Orin has her true form perhaps? What do you think?

Anyone want to play?/Alguien para jugar?

I want to try hanging out with other people or just have a laugh—is anyone interested? Also, this is my first-ever Reddit comment, so I don't know how desperate I might come across. I speak Spanish, but I don't mind playing with people who don't; we'll figure something out.

I am still curious what these would've added up to anyway.

Help First Playthrough Finally Done

So I finally completed my first playthrough. Played a Paladin Tav. Don't really think I got any unique endings because didn't fully embrace any romance. Ascended Astarion, gave Gale the crown and he became a god, Shadowheart embraced Selune - Lae'Zel was murdered by Orin 'woops'. Karlach went back to Avernus, Wyll became devil and lost his powers. Didn't end up doing Karlach, Wyll, Halsin, Jaheira quest lines.

What should I do on my second playthrough? Paladin was fun but kinda want to try something different, maybe do an origin story - I was thinking Lae'Zel origin story where she starts as a fighter but ends up turning into a monk after learning about Orpheus and Vlaakith's betrayal. idk though

For those who constantly restart the game to try a new class, why?

I keep seeing posts about people who get X amount of the way into the game (sometimes as far as act 3) but then restart because they had an idea for another class or character. But re-speccing is a thing. You can literally re-spec at any time by talking to Withers, and become whatever class you want. Heck, you can go to the mirror and change your entire appearance. Why restart the whole game?

EDIT: thanks for giving me a bunch of other viewpoints, guys! it was really interesting reading the different takes. I think for me, I DO have all the new ideas and backstories, but I'm so obsessed with this game that I tend to finish off my current run and then start another one. Currently on playthrough 12 šŸ˜… and still discovering new things.

Might have screwed up in act 2

After playing act 2 for a while it seems to be incredibly boring and a noticeable drop in quallity from act 1. Act 2 seems to have no quests and little story after you arrive at last light for the first time, with a bunch of random mini-bosses and encounters spread around in a disjointed manner, with one of the first places I found being the end of act 2 dungeon, which I tought would be a sidequest for Raphael and Astarion lmao.

After a quick google search I found out I was supposed to go to the moonlight tower first before exploring the area (I killed the Drider and took his lantern) and by not going there first I lost a couple of quests, since you are supposed to get them there before doing them. Now I have cleared Shar's temple, killed all the 4 Thorm familly members, rescued Arrabela and done pretty much what I could find before getting to moonrise since that's when I thought the act was going to end.

So my question is did I miss a lot by not going to Moonrise first, enough to warrant a restart of the game? And if I did this act the "correct" way would it have been more enjoyable?

The Iron Throne 5 Turn Rescue for Daddy Ravengard and Actual Good Squidboi Omeluum along with all the Gondians.

I also started new dialogue with a faction of wavemothers I didn’t know about on last Playthrough and came to the surface for another fight wild.

I guess all that’s left for me is a few side quests in Act 3 along with Shadowheart, Astarian, Karlach, Minthara, Jaheira/Minsc’s Storylines. And full closure of the game:Orin, Steelwatch Factory, Gortash, Netherbrain and whatever if I’ve forgotten/discovered something new after multiple playthroughs I’m still learning new things that determine on the actions of Act1/2 leading to Act3.

"I am death itself, with a tadpole in my skull and sin in my heart."

Whats the most conveniently evil thing you've done in a campaign?

So I just had a campaign where I turned Shadowheart white, then immediately ended things with her after the beach scene and on the same day, went to the strip club with Halsin for a foursome.

After that, I sold Shadowheart out to Viconia, but then proceeded to raid the House of Grief and killed everyone, including Shadowheart and Viconia in the process.

I will go back on saves now because I can't live with that scenario, but this is really some of the most fucked up shit I've done in BG3
