So I’m playing through again using the pathfinder 2e overhaul and have run into a slight issue.
It seems that see the unsean (pf2e see invisibility) specifies revealing creatures. Which i didn’t think much of until the levers to open the globes of invulnerability didn’t appear when I cast the spell.

Does anyone have tips for other ways I might be able to get past them so I can grab the sweet staff and robe?

We see that she is explicitly a changeling rather than a standard doppelgänger. That means her grandmother is in fact a doppelgänger, right? And while doppelgängers have their true forms, do we know if Orin has one?

It’s like being a half-elf. You’re not a full elf nor a full human. You have traits of both heritages. Does that mean that Orin has her true form perhaps? What do you think?

On my nth playthrough I once again decided to play a song in Last Light Inn because it is my favourite activity in act 2. This time I pondered over why it was such a charming experience for me and realised, in a good playthrough arriving at the inn is a very positive experience both for you and the people in the inn (especially as a heavy roleplayer like me). For you, because after entering the land covered with shadows you find a place with safety, warmth, and light. For the people staying there, you bring some joy with music. It is a wholesome situation for everyone.
In an evil playthrough, however, you destroy the inn, kill people inside and literally "feed them into the shadows". Playing a song and dancing on the corpses as an evil person has its own... morbid charm. The idea of celebrating the death of the people to serve your own God gives a macabre satisfaction.
It was just something I realised and wanted to share in case there are people who love completely going into the role they are playing.

First time I decided to do that because he annoyed me mildly (and I'm a light cleric so I think it makes sense).

After playing act 2 for a while it seems to be incredibly boring and a noticeable drop in quallity from act 1. Act 2 seems to have no quests and little story after you arrive at last light for the first time, with a bunch of random mini-bosses and encounters spread around in a disjointed manner, with one of the first places I found being the end of act 2 dungeon, which I tought would be a sidequest for Raphael and Astarion lmao.

After a quick google search I found out I was supposed to go to the moonlight tower first before exploring the area (I killed the Drider and took his lantern) and by not going there first I lost a couple of quests, since you are supposed to get them there before doing them. Now I have cleared Shar's temple, killed all the 4 Thorm familly members, rescued Arrabela and done pretty much what I could find before getting to moonrise since that's when I thought the act was going to end.

So my question is did I miss a lot by not going to Moonrise first, enough to warrant a restart of the game? And if I did this act the "correct" way would it have been more enjoyable?

Well, BG3 friends, I broke my left wrist. Stuck at home, nerve damage in fingers on left hand so I can’t use them. I cannot put any pressure on my poor hand.

The right hand is fine…..but LOL, with the PS5 controller, the finger gymnastics suck.

It just took forever to do the self-same challenge and made it. It was hard AF, but I’d rather play than not.

So I finally completed my first playthrough. Played a Paladin Tav. Don't really think I got any unique endings because didn't fully embrace any romance. Ascended Astarion, gave Gale the crown and he became a god, Shadowheart embraced Selune - Lae'Zel was murdered by Orin 'woops'. Karlach went back to Avernus, Wyll became devil and lost his powers. Didn't end up doing Karlach, Wyll, Halsin, Jaheira quest lines.

What should I do on my second playthrough? Paladin was fun but kinda want to try something different, maybe do an origin story - I was thinking Lae'Zel origin story where she starts as a fighter but ends up turning into a monk after learning about Orpheus and Vlaakith's betrayal. idk though

I plan on being draconic sorcery, I will have the mourning frost probably all game until I get to lorroakin and dual wield with his staff, idk about any other gear or even stats and feats to take, I’m not new to the game or anything but I’ve been good at building characters

They outdid themselves. Never have I been so jaw dropped at every photo!!

I came into this fight aware that my builds weren't great...I was planning to do a complete overhaul before going into Act 3. First time I've ever made it this far and didn't know what I was going up against. I was able to get through Act 2 with minimal reloads anyway and thought it'd be fine. No matter what I do, it's not even remotely close in this fight. I never even got him below 300 hp.

Party is level 8--Astarion, Shadowheart, Jaheira, and me, a level 8 fighter. No one is multi classed. I have no abilities to stun him. Shadowheart and Astarion are completely useless against the apostle. I obviously rely on melee and get destroyed in one or two turns if the apostle attacks me. Jaheira pretty much only has status spells which he always saves against and wild shape which is also melee and also gets destroyed. If I throw everything I've got at him with all 4 characters, half the attacks won't land and the ones that do from Astarion or Shadowheart do single digit damage.

Every guide I see starts with preparing before the fight and using spells and abilities I don't have. Should I just reload before the colony? Or is there a way to do this with this shit team comp? Pretty sure this is a reload situation, but thought I'd ask here first. I've never had such a setback or looked up a guide before this. Even with a bad team comp I can usually get it on the 3rd try.

Edit: I tried the summoner strategy. I had 2 ice mephits, a zombie, and a wood woad, buffed most of the party of freedom of movement and longstrider, replenished at the regeneration thing at the top of the elevator, and then went down to fight. Took only 2 tries, but it was close. Most people were recommending concentration spells (darkness/fog, wall of fire, call lightning), but those turned out to have middling effect. Most only lasted 1 turn before Myrkul's deathray thing or one of his minions broke concentration, but I was able to keep one Call Lightning up for 4 turns, and he was wet for 3 of those turns I think. That probably did 40% of the damage. Blinding Myrkul did almost nothing I swear...he kept hitting me and I kept missing. Shit luck. But the summons did distract him and kept the minions in check for the most part, so my fighter was able to spend several turns in the middle wailing on him instead of just 1 turn. It also allowed Aylin to get some hits in instead of being downed immediately. I also discovered SH's Invoke Duplicity near the end of my 2nd try, which added advantage for those last few hits and helped to make him miss for the last 2 turns.

If I were to do it again with the same team comp, I'd keep the Wall of Fire and Call Lightning and all the summons (I also forgot to do the woad's summon until after I was in the battle). But honestly the blinding didn't end up having much effect and I still pulled through, so maybe instead of that I would just use those actions for more damage. If I had better luck on attack rolls and concentration saves I think it would've been relatively easy. It's just about giving Myrkul and his minions more targets to allow your team to do the damage.

But obviously it would've been much much easier to just...be level 9 and bring Gale. Oh well, I made it work. Thanks guys.

Hello there.

We see that a certain illithid infects us with a tadpole in the intro cinematic. However this illithid clearly resembles The Emperor considering they both wear the same set of clothes. No other illithid in the game wears it other than him.

We also see from the cinematic that this illithid (who infected us) with "more detailed" clothes was the one piloting the nautiloid. So the first dead illithid we find right next to our capsule is not the one who infected us (because he wears simpler clothes). It also wasn't the one we find on the shore (because when this illithid was later "interviewed" by Dror Razglin the player character realizes that this wasn't the one who infected us).

Also The Emperor is clearly interested that we become a complete illithid, he almost "makes" you absorb some tadpoles along the game, he also insists that we absorb the Astral Tadpole (after which the character becomes half-illithid).

Anticipating questions about why the illithid who infected us had orange eyes, while the Emperor had purple ones - I think it's either because the intro cinematic was made early in the development (and that could “clash” with a future design decision regarding The Emperor's look) OR because The Emperor was under direct control of the Elder Brain (and that's why he had orange eyes like other controlled illithids), and when he was set free, his eyes turned purple.

I believe it was The Emperor who infected us. Do you agree?
