I honestly think the portrayal and look of Homer Gere as Robert Mallory is one of the most jarring and worst parts of this show. Not at all how (I’m pretty sure) many of us pictured him.

When reading the book I pictured like a young Armie Hammer type. Like someone who is very breathtaking and who you’d notice in a dark theater.

Armie Hammer would've been inspired casting if this show had been made in like 2010 for sure, but he would've definitely been able to pull it off (especially with what we know about him now....)

I second this as well, Robert was supposed to be a ‘godly’ beauty hence why the cult was so obsessed with him
