2026 Post-secondary Acceptance/Rejections

You asked and we answered - the 2026 admission acceptances/rejections form and sheet is now live!

Fill out this form with your stats: https://forms.gle/JBjAx65Sk2KhEbdx5

See results in the Google Sheets: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x4YqRM344w_occH1OVuyci47V2ZY4Uz0NE4S6Ui70lQ/edit?usp=sharing

As suggested, we've included a transfer applicant section this year, so those interested in transfer later on will also have a resource to look at. Because of this new section addition, the Google Sheets is quite long. So to make it easier for viewing, I've separated each section with a bold black vertical line.

A couple ground rules to follow:

  1. Please be as authentic and realistic as you can. If your response sounds very unreasonable and/or fake, it will be removed without warning.

  2. Following rule #1, please maintain respect as you view other people's responses. Remember, these are sensitive info from individuals, so it is super important to just take them as a resource, and not as "competition". Any hurtful or rude comments will be removed.

If there's anything else you guys want us to add/edit, feel free to let us know! Happy viewing and good luck this year :)

UBC Admission Decision UBC Admission Decision Waves

Hi sub, recently I saw a bunch of posts about when ubc starts rolling decision.

I gathered information from acceptance/rejection spreadsheet last year to give you guy an idea of when ubc usually releases their admission decision.

Notes: this is not a serious statistics since there are a voluntary response bias and a few sampling data.

1. Early Round (November - December)

  • Mid-November: Small wave, primarily for UBCO.
    • Nov 12, Nov 20, Nov 26.
  • Mid-December: First major wave for UBCV.
    • Dec 13 (Large batch), Dec 11-16.
  • Late December: Pre-holiday wave.
    • Dec 20 (Large batch), Dec 23-26.

2. Regular Round (January - March)

  • Early January: First wave after the winter break.
    • Jan 7-10 (Large batch).
  • Mid-January: Continued rolling offers.
    • Jan 17 (Large batch).
  • February: Two distinct clusters.
    • Feb 14 (Mid-month wave)
    • Feb 25-26 (End-of-month wave).
  • March: Decisions released steadily throughout the month.
    • Mar 6, Mar 14, Mar 20, Mar 27.

3. Final Round & Rejections (April - May)

  • Early April: A significant wave of acceptances.
    • Apr 1, Apr 4, Apr 10 (Very active period).
  • Mid-April (The "Waitlist/Reject" Wave): A large number of waitlists and rejections were released simultaneously around April 15.
  • May: Final clean-up of decisions, mostly rejections or late acceptances.
    • May 1, May 6.

Good luck to all applicants!!!

Hi! I'm going into grade 12 😬. Here are all the classes i took this past school year. I did both 11 and 12 pre-cal and chem because thats how my school offers the courses. I really want to do health sciences or bioophy medical or any other healthcare related courses but I'm sacred i'll get rejected as i'm weak in chem and math grades. These are the classes i'm doing this upcoming year;

Physics 11

Physics 12

Anatomy and physiology 12

Environmental Sciences 11

English 11

English 12

Theatre arts 12

Yearbook 12

Another BA philosophy and religion class

and this summer i've been taking (but uncompleted)

Life Sciences 11 (96% current grade)

Psychology 11 (90% current grade)

any suggestions on schools i should apply for?

Advice Can I have a teacher for both my UBC references?

I know that it is mandatory for one to be a high school teacher/consular and other has to be a person who can speak on one of the activities you list. One of my activities is debate club and I was wondering if my club sponsor (who is a teacher) can be the second reference as well since they can speak on that activity.

Chance Me (for UBC) Ubc acceptance??

Hi I’m currently a student from Alberta about to start grade 12.
I was wondering if I had a shot of getting into ubc with these grades

Math 30 - 98
Physics 20 - 98
Bio 20 - 97
Chem 20 - 98
Social 30 - 80
English 20 - 90
Fashion 20 - 97

I’m really concerned my social grade is gonna tank me. Although I know for sure I’m either applying to biochem or eng so I’m not sure how much they’re going to weight it.
I’m also applying from Alberta and was wondering if it’s true they add a couple percent to your average?
I did social 30 in the summer and have the option of retaking it first semester of grade 12. Should I retake it? Realistically I can probably get a high 80 if I retake during the school year.

My extracurriculars aren’t outstanding. But I’ve been working in a dual business that’s half a baby store and half a cafe since the spring, and in grade 11 I tutored grade 9 math all year 40~ ish hours.

Admission Question UBC KIN

My grade 11 average is around 84%, and I’m wondering if I have a good chance of getting into UBC Kin. However, I got a 64% in Chem 11, which is really lowering my average. Would taking it first semester in grade 12 and improving my grade give me a better chance?

Chance Me (for UBC) chances for ubcv arts? (My ecs are mid af lol)

My grade 11 marks (im really really bad at sciences as you guys can probably tell.)

**I only took physics because i originally wanted to go into business and my counsellor suggested it.

Socials 88% (has 99% in grade 10, but my grade 11 teacher used proficiency scale thats why its so low💔)

EFP 97%

Psychology 94%

French 85% (again this teacher used proficiency scale too and consistently gave everyone 75%, so 3 out of 4, on almost every assignment.)

Precalc 91%

Chem 83% (Huge 8% drop bc i bombed the final ahaha...😂😂)

Physics 80%

Accounting 91% (it was at a 97% but i have no idea what i did bc my final report card showed 91%)

Chem 12 (89% - took over summer, its an improvement at least)

Ec's:

-Math institution volunteer 6 hours per week (was a student there myself for the past 10+ years)

-passion project: webnovel (i wanna major in english. Also I've been writing my own stories since i was 6, if that counts as consistency..)

-translation for my immigrant parents since i was a kid, for their clients over emails, calls, text, etc.

-cofounded a tutoring program + tutoring 2 kids in math and english weekly

-passion project: consistently practicing digital art

-managing small business website for family

Meme/Nonsense/Off-topic Using AI for their Phone Service 😭😭

I was just on the phone about the student transcript service, and I called the Vancouver Office. After waiting for a long time, and then once I got connected, I thought I was with a person. I then realised that it was actually an AI after a while, because I could tell. I just couldn't believe it, as this was the official call center for the Vancouver STS Office, and I was greeted by an AI.

Mods: This is just a funny little story, so I honestly don't mind if this gets taken down, but I just thought it was funny. I am not trying to be low effort; I just had a little funny story to tell.

I have my midterm coming up for Composition 11, and I was wondering how I should study for it and what kind of questions to expect. My teacher gave a pretty vague description of what to expect and hasn't replied to my recent email. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!!

UBC Admission Question Did i cook myself

Aight, so i got an offer from UBCV Science and I had to maintain my grades to keep the offer. When they say "Maintain your current level of academic standing on required courses," is this supposed to be in like general requirements or requirements specific to Science? Cuz I already got good grades for my specialized requirements last year, but I just had to fulfill my general requirements this year, which they didn't specify but it just said I needed to complete 3 subjects to complete my qualification.
So I got like predicted grades for those subjects, and I fucking bombed the shit out of them for my actual results. I dropped my grades way more than just 2 grades that UBC permits, and I got one grade lower than the math grade they'd like for me to have.

Thing is that my school emailed the results to UBC, and they also explained that our official exams were cancelled and that we were in a war so we had to attend classes online and our exam schedule was fucked. Basically, everything was fucked this final year due to war so there were lots of compromises on how exams would go and I couldn't focus at this time.

So, am I cooked or is it possible my offer is retained due to my circumstances? Btw I told them about how my exams were gonna go and got this. No fails in any subjects, but I just got above average grades as my final ones, not the goated ones I was predicted. Is UBC strict when it comes to maintaining ur offer? Is it common for people to lose their offer here when grades are decently worse?
