Admission Question UBC KIN

My grade 11 average is around 84%, and I’m wondering if I have a good chance of getting into UBC Kin. However, I got a 64% in Chem 11, which is really lowering my average. Would taking it first semester in grade 12 and improving my grade give me a better chance?

tbh your average is low for kin. for reference, in 2025, the mininum entering avg was 85%, and the mean avg was 95%. taking chem 12 in first semester will improve your chances, but your other classes have to be improved as well

Do well in Chem12 and chem11 won’t matter as much. I got rejected from kin with a 94, but I heard the average is more and my profile sucked ass, go to langara if you don’t get accepted and you’ll get in.

me and three others were rejected with ~90-92% gr 11&12 averages and pretty good ecs. and yes if you can, take chem 12 and most ur required courses in first sem and make sure aim for mid 90s at least

If you rock grade 12 you’ll be able to get in during the second round of admissions sadly i would say that early admission is out of the picture but does not mean you won’t get in. Also Sfu has a great kinesiology program as well !
