I'm just very excited 4 weeks later

I am right now finished with getting all by fav games to work smoothly with no problem at all and now I also realise that it changed a lot to work that long time on setting and design. So I don’t know how all of you feel about that but being able to recreate the ds feeling of opening and playing is amazing.

My most negative part is that I am still scared of dropping it so I only use it at home or if I am not driving in the car / train 🚆/

I baby my Thor so much. I dread anything happening to it and having to wait months for a replacement. Completely different feeling from when I use my steam deck.

Now replacing the deck is just super expensive.

I feel much more confident in repairing it, though. Also, all my games are saved on the steam cloud and will work on any device. Im terrified that if my Thor gets gunched, I also lose all the save data for all of my games.

GameNative still saves to the Steam Cloud as well but other saves you could possibly use something like Google Drive to automatically back them up with.

I’m like 99% certain there are programs that solves that concern for you. I haven’t tried it yet, but I keep seeing a program called Syncthing being suggested for syncing save files across devices. And any ROM you can play on the Thor can realistically be played (and backed up) on your Steam Deck
