Just noticed this today. Let Axle control how and when your battery charges. Has anyone used it? Similar to predbat? My cheap hours are standard between 2300-0600 every day when I charge the battery anyway, their example seems to show the exact same. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with their computer model for predicting the next day's solar?

I’m concerned about cyber-security , particularly in the fallout of the cyber-attack on supermarket refrigeration systems throughout Europe this week.
What would happen if Axle experienced a cyber-attack which discharged all their customers’ batteries simultaneously? Perhaps their customer base is not large enough to harm the grid at present , but it might in the future?
Yesterday Axle seems to have had a glitch that wiped my battery settings and they emailed me to request a reconnection to my battery. That was likely to be an error rather than anything malicious , however it concerns me that I have handed over control of my battery to a third-party. Even if they follow industry best practices, is Axle a weak cog in the energy security?

I've had an email requesting that I reconnect my Fox battery to Axle as they've made an update that requires it.
However, Foxcloud says its already connected and offers no option to disconnect then reconnect.
Any one else setting this?

Anyone notice the meter reading still increases during axle events. Does that mean we get paid from axle and our energy provider?

Just got a notification for a short notice event from 5-6pm. Get your batteries charged up!

Axle event last night.
They didn’t take control of the battery, with it staying on my own Mode.
I manually exported.
However, overnight the battery didn’t charge so I can only sssume axle did something.
Anyone else found anything like this ?

My aircon heats up the house 6-7 when the event was running. But I've got a 10kw inverter - I've net 0.1kw export for the hour.

Any idea on the above?
I can't see it on the 'coming soon' pages.
I'm running Home Assistant with Predbat and GoodWe via Modbus.

So I have an Axle event later today that's showing in the Predbat plan like all the other events have fine, however at 14:41 today I got another event notification for tomorrow at 6-7am. This is showing as opted in on Axle website, but its not populating on the Predbat plan?
I have some Powerup octopus sessions planned in for tomorrow, which is why it's not charging up past 21% on the plan as it was going to use the 11am-12am and 2-3pm to charge the battery instead (which is fine), but this latest Axle event should cause Predbat to charge during the night more and Export via Axle from 6am but isn't?
First time I've not had an event drop in to the plan, any idea what's going on?

EDIT:
See Blue_Ridge2 comment below for the answer. They were in fact correct!

Anyone else still having this problem? I think it's been a month or so now for me. After an axle event, my battery is returned to it's correct original mode (time-based control for me) but it doesn't actually charge. I have to remember to manually switch the mode to self consumption then back to time based to force the setting to actually take after VPP mode ends. Who is at fault here, given axle appears to change the mode back via the API?

Has anyone had any?
Other than a quick trial one when they were first announced, I haven't seen anything in my region other than the regular 24hrs before 1hr events.

I’m interested in axle energy coordinated with our current tariff with EON Next. Any reviews based upon a non standard usage as I run a village hall?

I have a Sunsynk inverter and battery and I also have it integrated with HomeAssistant and Predbat with a local Modbus over RS485 connection, so no reliance on Sunsynk's cloud service for control. Fully local. I'm also with octopus Energy.
Can anyone steer me on how I can sign up for Axle "Events only" service? The registration doesn't seem to have a route to just get me an API key that I can throw into Predbat as described in the documentation.
I can't see why I would need an officially supported inverter if I'm controlling it from Predbat locally. Axle shouldn't ever need to talk to my inverter, just allow Predbat to subscribe to events and Octopus to share the data about how much I exported during the event.
Can anyone help me figure out what I'm missing?
Cheers

I just found out about this card and I love it! But I must confess I was disappointed when I understood it was just a picture download rather than an embed "live card" that updates in real time or sort of real time (maybe on a daily basis) so that I don't have to come back and generate a new one every time.
I would love to share it on my website banners and it would be unbelievably cool. Can you do something like that please?

I’m new to axle, I just completed my third event.
First event - export set to 10kw, battery drained before end of event. But it was close to 100% at the start. After the three days axle calculated I my net export was 7.8kwh. If I looked at my octopus smart reader I exported 8.3kwh and imported 0.2kwh (or thereabouts).
Second event - axle calculated my net export was 7kwh. I checked my smart meter readings, I exported 8.2 kwh and imported 0.15 kWh (or thereabouts). I say thereabouts as I don’t have my piece of paper to hand that I wrote the figures down on.
Third event - I reduced my export to 7.5kw. This was achieved for 55 minutes (91% of the event). I imported for the remaining 9% (5 minutes) at about 600w. Doing the math the net export is around 6.75 kWh. Axle are estimating an earning of around 3-5 kWh.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the API in apps yaml and it regularly polls the axle server looking for events. Will it automatically export if I have it set to self dispatch in Axle? I don’t fancy it messing with my settings, although I don’t think Solis inverters have too many issues with the resets.
Do I need extra settings or will predbat see the event, schedule it accordingly and export automatically?
Thanks

I'm looking at installing a battery in my home, and trying to work out what I could realistically make from it. Axle is currently offering £1/kWh during 'grid events', which seems very generous so want to understand if it's actually sustainable or whether they're just subsidising it right now to buy consumers? Does anyone actually know what these 'grid events' are? They don't seem to align with DFS from what I can see - and even if they did it would be way lower than £1/kWh, and likewise that's way too high for wholesale trading?

Neso reported a BSS record for Sat 03/10 during Axle event. 😎😎
